Ha! Baited you in. No, this is not a ban appeal, but more of a farewell. One of the GMs caught me hacking red-handed, and well, there's nothing more to say about that. Rules are the rules. Totally deserved. I never meant to play on this server for long as I have many other obligations such as school and work, but still I wanted to experience my childhood days during my break and maybe make-up for what I missed in the past. In the beginning I was determined to experience that long-awaited feeling of enjoying killing mobs, using skills, questing and making friends, so I never had to resort to hacks. But, as time went on (2 weeks later) things were progressing too slow as my real life priorities kept pulling me back from this virtual world. So before I quit I knew I had to experience what it was like to be rich in MapleStory, that feeling of wanting like a kid coveting candy. So, I started learning the ropes of becoming a merchant. On the first day I researched the whole FM, going literally store by store across all 24 FMs, noting down scroll prices for comparison, working tirelessly to figure out the market prices. I made a net profit of ~50 million mesos that day reselling scrolls. But that was too slow, and it was then that I realized I had to use hacks to achieve my elusive goal. I resented myself for that decision but sometimes your desires override your conscience. As soon as I started hacking I knew my days were numbered, but no matter. My goal of being rich was actually achieved before the ban came down like a hammer from the heavens, shattering my euphoric fantasy. I had "earned" ~600 million mesos from farming gold teeth. That may not seem like a lot to the people that plays this server, but to me it was the world. I had the world, and it was enough. I must admit I had not engaged in such hedonistic pleasures for more than a year as I did in the past 3 weeks that I forgot how to be disciplined. It was so fun that for a while I forgot about the real world and became fully immersed in the game. Now, as I leave this server, those happy memories that I made during my short stay will be taken with me for safekeeping. Before I end this I must apologize to the administrators and developers. What I did was inexcusable and disrespectful to you guys that work hard to provide this unique experience, and for that I'm sorry, please forgive me for my selfishness. Thank you MapleRoyals and everyone behind it for providing this amazing nostalgic experience. I truly had a blast playing the game of my childhood, like I was 13 again. PS.
