The terms and conditions define Account Sharing as: Account Sharing - The act of sharing the use your account, sharing account information with any other individual, or the act of logging into or otherwise using an account owned by another person, with or without permission, regardless of whether or not the information was directly or indirectly shared. Punishment: First offense - 30 day ban, Second offense - Permanent ban. Please be aware that, in cases of severe abuse as per discretion of staff, we reserve the right to respond with a permanent ban regardless of if it is your first offense. See appendix for more information. With the relevant appendix entry, listing one of the scenarios that can result in a permanent ban: Two or more people taking turns in levelling up a character (ie: training); I understand that I broke this rule, and I apologize for doing so. I would like to request a shift to a temporary ban (of at least 30 days, per the account sharing "first offense" punishment), on the grounds that this does not qualify as "cases of severe abuse." This is my first and only offense, this was not an ongoing procedure, and, depending on the philosophies of the moderators, the role of a set of rules with a punishment system should be to both deter and reform. A temporary and a permanent ban both may serve as attempts towards reform, but a permanent ban is much more likely to alienate the user from the player-base and remove them entirely. With the time investment required to reach mid-late stage game-play, coupled with the newly instilled fear of aggressive punishment that aims to remove and not reform, it is unlikely a user would continue to participate in and contribute to the community through playing the game. If the role of a moderator is to allow the best game environment to persist, and they feel that accomplishing this necessitates a first-sight removal of rule-breakers, then I accept my permanent ban as such. But as a member of the in-game community, one who positively contributes to the social and economic environments of the server, I hope that I may continue to build on that which I have worked to achieve, learning from my mistake how to become a better player, and as a result, a better community member. I appreciate you and the rest of the mod team maintaining an open dialogue with me throughout this process. The civility of this ban appeal forum is commendable. Thank you for your time, I look forward to reading your response. Best, KauaiDesu
We only unban people when there is a(n) mistake / unjust ban. You know very well what you did, even quoting the rule you broke, and will not be given leniency since you've agreed to abide by them upon registering. Thanks for your appeal.
