Character Name: Anarchism Last thing you did: Chilling in hene market. Why do you think you got banned?: I sniped someone's FM spot today. She said later on that she recorded me and going to report me for "botting". I guess my clicking seemed inhuman so the report worked, but it really was simply good timing and dedication. Gert the GM actually came to Hene Market and announced my ban right before it happened so I will refer to his words. He stated that "someone" stood there for 5 hours and took the spot in a couple of seconds. To be fair, it may seem kinda low and funny, to be camping a spot like that, and I do realize how you can infer that I used some kind of software to do so, but it was really simple luck. I was afking there during most of the "5 hours" that Gert specified. It was about a half an hour before I sniped the spot that I was not AFK, as I noticed from afar she was standing in her own spot, probably waiting to reclaim it, and this was when I took action, and waited carefully for the spot to close. Once it opened I quickly took control of it and placed my item to sell the spot. Worth mentioning I'm pretty sure someone attempted to DC me around an hour later, though I won't specify any names as I can't prove it. I don't know if you're able to, but if there are some logs concerning my store's chat messages, you can see that I was messaging the one that owned the spot right after it opened. I was there. To be honest, I was pretty sure her report would not be taken seriously, and it really saddens me to get banned over "hacking" for sniping a spot, just because the person thinks she's entitled to own her spot forever. I can't believe I did not take any screen shots... From what I remember - It was something along the lines of: Her - "I am giving you the option of self ban" Her - "I am going to report you" After about 5 or 6 messages of her I wrote "what for? o.o", and she said "for botting", so if the "for botting" does not appear in her recording, she probably stopped it before I replied. If the recording includes her whole session in my store (in other words, if it shows her closing the store's window), my message should appear. And thank you for your time.
Whether or not that may be the case, I find it very very hard to believe that you afk'd for 5 hours, then came back 30min before they closed the shop (because they also afk'd to try and trick you if you were actually there) and then also proceeded to beat their friend and mule when both of them knew the exact second that the shop was closing down. This is just way too much of a coincidence. Also, after checking the footage again, you opened the shop with the name AND an ITEM inside priced at 200m in under 1 second. There is no way you could have humanly done that without expecting the shop to close.
I was kinda watching it every now and then, and as I stated around 30 minutes before it happended I noticed her so decided to dedicate myself and really just got lucky. The shop did open quickly, as I had the values of the store's message and the item's price ready as a paste macro in my mouse's extra function buttons. This is as hack-ish as it goes. If the use of these is forbidden then I am sorry as I didn't know, although a permanent ban over the usage of them would be too harsh imo. I also took time to practice it until I was ready to invest time in sniping some ideal FM spot.
There's nothing to practice, you can't better your reaction time past a certain-point, it's all genetic (speaking from experience with over 3,000 combined hours in CS:GO and maybe over 5,000 total in FPS) Also, yeah, that's not allowed your mouse macro is also against the rules and warrants a permanent ban. I'm sorry but your ban will remain.
Shouldn't the way was I was taking advantage of my mouse's abilities count as a "key macroing" offense, which is a 7 day ban as being stated in the game's rules?
