Last thing you did: Leveling at ULU2 on my bishop (GoVols) while watching football matches preparing for a big rivalry game this weekend (Vols vs Gators, TN @ FL; TN hasn't won at FL since 2003! Since GMS was a new game :O ) and drinking my fears down. I keep in-game chat minimized and usually just ignore people that come through the map, because I have been bullied off a map before. ULU2 is great because I can hit both rows from the with genesis and just move left to right on one platform. I usually play for long stretches on the weekends when I can. Grinding for 10 to 12 or 14 hours is something I've done in weekends past too. This is the first weekend I've been grinding at ULU2 though. VolShop had a stall open in the FM but was not connected at the time. Why do you think you got banned?: I'm hoping I haven't ruined my playing experience over not watching the screen enough in this one instance because that's all I can think of. Hello. You were permanently banned for macro botting. One of our staff repeatedly tried to get your attention for an extended period of time, yet your character kept following the same pattern that we had been observing.
Thank you for your reply, Bacon. I was afraid you were going to say something along those lines. There must be some sort of misunderstanding. I can admit that I might have been irresponsible with the lack of attention I was giving the screen late that night while watching football, but not to the extent of using hacks or cheats to gain an unfair advantage. I see now in hindsight that my appeal details aren't particularly flattering given the allegations, perhaps even laughably so, but they are true. I used to play WoW, Runescape, Diablo 2, Last Chaos, SilkRoad, etc. so I'm no stranger to grinding for hours. I don't socialize in this game much, so I've taken to zoning the game out a bit while grinding. I had just recently joined a guild though, Storm, so I would sometimes chat when asking questions, or when I would go sell, or say ty after a level up grats. I can imagine I looked repetitive by nature of the game, but I would have been clunky too. I know I had been running into the walls some and occasionally letting buffs lapse. Even holy symbol! Not clean play. Blah. This is extra frustrating because I understand the optics. I understand the circumstances don't look good. I understand I'm to blame for the situation escalating. I understand the decision even if I don't agree with it. Argh. Banned in the middle of my nostalgia trip AND my alma mater got their butts whooped by a rival when they were favored to win by 7 (final score 29-16.. embarrassing). What a terrible weekend lol. Other than pleading for mercy, I don't know what else I can say. I'm open to any questions you might have. If the ban stands, would a temporary ban be an option? If it remains permanent and these accounts remain closed, I'm essentially exiled, right? Prohibited from making a new account even if I did feel up to starting over? Regardless of what gets decided, I appreciate the time you and the rest of the Royals staff give up so there were good times to be had. Thank you.
Hi Spoofzor, The Staff has reviewed the evidence against you, and have decided that the ban for Macro-Botting will stand. What we witnessed in the evidence collected was not Robotic Play, as defined in the MapleRoyals ToS. I'm sorry, but we cannot lower your ban duration. And you are correct: once a person is permanently banned, they cannot make a new account and start over. You as a person cannot play on this Server anymore. We wish you well in your future endeavors elsewhere.
