What GM banned you (optional): Good morning my fellow Maplers and the game masters of this server, I'd like to provide my details as to what I believe the reason for my ban was. As we all know, having two active connections in relations to winter dash is an illegal activity and will result in a 14 day ban, I myself understand this rule and have abided by strictly using a single character for winter dash since becoming a member of this community 5-6 years ago. To spare the unnecessary backstory, I will cut to the chase. Upon entering winter dash on my IGN: Emobuccee, I realized that this was not the character that I wanted to participate with in winter dash, after clicking the NPC Billy to leave the event, it seems that I failed to confirm my decision to leave the event. After presuming that I had left, I proceeded to enter in on my IGN: Emostabby. Now, due to the nature of the way I play this game, I tend to have 3 to 4 full sized clients open, often causing windows to overlap, blocking the view of other clients. I clicked off Emobuccee onto Emostabby and proceeded to enter winter dash, somewhat hiding the view of Emobuccee. I understand this cannot be proven, however, it is still an important detail to include as to why I had two clients in winter dash. After about 1 minute into the event at about the 2nd or 3rd 50/50 top or bottom platform I finally notice that client Emobuccee was still in the event map. I panicked and quickly switched my client back to Emobuccee and rather than log out or click Billy again, I chose to exit out of the client via the X shortcut. I fear that exiting out of the game this way had either not been quick enough to avoid a ban or had unfortunately left my character Emobuccee "connected" even though the client on my side was closed, which left the character in game, therefor still connected and counting as a duo connection unbeknownst to me whilst I completed the rest of the event on Emostabby. I only received a reward on Emostabby and never completed nor attempted to complete winter dash on Emobuccee. I understand that it is fully up to the GMs' discretion, and I have provided details to the best of my ability, if it is decided that my ban is just and fair, I will accept it without question, I, however, have never benefited from receiving a reward on two characters from a single winter dash. Hi there! Apologies for the delayed response. Unfortunately, we are unable to lift the ban early as it stands because both of your characters were in the Winter Dash lobbies at the same time, going against the warnings we have issued before deciding to move forward with issuing bans. While we sympathize with the situation, not realizing you weren't out before entering again on another character, this is something we cannot be lenient with moving forward anymore than we already have been.
Understood, I'd ask for compensation for being falsely banned due to low quality flagging and wasting 1.5x experience points for two characters but I do understand, even a faulty system must appear to be in full working order. At least I will finally be able to use spare time to finish Baldur's Gate 3 <3
