I desperately needed the money and with a sad heart decided to sell my account on mapleroyals. I sold my non-main account, which contained a bishop. I reported myself both because I thought I was doing the wrong thing, and because I didn't actually get paid by the buyer, and was getting real world threats via personal messages on various social platforms... I wanted to make sure he could not use my account to damage the community. Please believe when I say that I understand how unfair it is to sell an account, and progress another player via real world money. I did not do that in order to harm the server nor the community, in fact I was still active on discord and playing skribbles on maintenances and talking to people in the shoutbox on forums, after the incident. I understand that you might be getting a lot of ban appeals regarding people who made mistakes and are trying to revert their actions. I am not one of them. That account deserves to remain banned, and I hope the dude who bought it never ban evaded and stopped playing. Mine isn't different. I have no way to justify my actions, other than saying sincerely I was in a dire situation and really needed money. It has been 4 years since I stopped playing, and I miss the game, the community, the people on buddy list whom I have no idea how to contact outside the game. I would like you to ignore my time on staff while reading this appeal. It is not a card I want to use, and during that time I contributed to the server because I wanted to help and make everyone's experience better. I volunteered and expected nothing in return. I still believe that and therefore I would like you to not consider that in my appeal. I think that would be the fair thing to do. Regardless of the answer, I want to thank the gm who took the time to read this text, I know it's long, but it comes from a good place. This game means a lot to me, and now that my life is sorted I was hoping possibly to try and relive the memories I made on this server. Thank you. -Hamburg
