About six months ago, a friend from my Discord gave me this level 15 empty account (no RWT involved). He told me that using a low-value account like this wouldn’t be an issue and wouldn’t get me banned. I’ve only been using it for storage and to sell items on the market. It was completely empty when I got it. Maybe it had about a week voting's NX, but I’m not really sure. Since it’s only level 15 and can’t do gacha or buy APR, there was nothing valuable I could gain from it. I think I might’ve bought some owls on it, but never sell. I haven’t leveled it or used it for anything else.

I’ve carefully read through the ban rules here: https://royals.ms/forum/threads/mapleroyals-game-terms-conditions.86769/, especially the part about the eight account sharing scenarios that result in an immediate permanent ban. I truly believe my case doesn’t fall into any of those since I didn’t level the account, I just used it to store scrolls from my main’s gacha and to set up a shop in the FM.

I understand if I need to be punished, but I really hope my main accounts and my machine won’t get permanently banned. I’m also happy to provide Discord chat logs or any other information if needed. Please let me know if that would help.

 

I was given two accounts. One is the one I mentioned earlier, SLSOA. As for the other one, I never actually used it, so I don't remember the IGN, but the I know the login ID is hidden by staff (do not post login ids here). It was also an empty account.

 

I blanked the thread because I was genuinely shocked at the time. I thought I had been permanently banned. I panicked and wanted to remove the post quickly in case any potential buyers tried to contact me.

Since I believed I wouldn’t be able to log in again, I didn’t want to leave a thread where people might show interest and I’d have to awkwardly respond with “I’m banned…” That would have been embarrassing for me, so I decided to blank the thread instead.

When I saw the ban notification, there was no indication of a specific time period. It didn’t say something like “until...” as I had seen in other ban appeal posts. Because of that, I assumed the ban was permanent and that no further changes would be made.

However, after studying the rules carefully, I’ve come to better understand the situation and would like to take this opportunity to appeal and explain myself. That’s the thought process I went through.

 

No, that’s not what happened. When I first got those two accounts, I was a complete newbie and didn’t fully understand the rules. I didn’t knowingly break them.

Here’s what actually happened:

I was complaining in a Discord group about how tiring it felt to train a brand new account just to use it as a storage. Someone offered to give me two empty accounts. I asked, “Is that okay?” not because I knew it was against the rules, but because I felt uneasy getting something I didn’t earn. He told me it was fine and that it wouldn’t get banned. At the time, I didn’t know enough to question it.

Later on, as I leveled up and got more involved in the community, I started to better understand the rules and realized that this kind of account sharing was actually a violation. By then, I had already been using them with SLSOA to run my shop for a while. I love the game a lot, so I took a risk and kept going with a kind of wishful thinking.

There was no RWT involved at any point. I wasn’t trying to make real-world money or anything like that. I just didn’t know better at first, and later I made a poor choice by continuing to use the accounts even after I understood the rule.

Thanks, but I honestly didn’t know these were vote abuse accounts. I really didn’t gain a large advantage — I only used the NX to buy owls.

I’m really hoping for a temporary ban instead of a permanent one.

 

I understand the account sharing rules and I accept that I made a mistake. But I want to clarify that I did not break any of the eight cases listed for immediate permanent bans here https://royals.ms/forum/threads/mapleroyals-game-terms-conditions.86769/:

1. 1. Using power-levelling serv or more people taking turns in levelling up a character (i.e. training);
      
   2. Logging onto someone else's character in order to leech your own;
   3. Removing items from or deleting someone else's character;
   4. Giving an account with a high-levelled character on it to someone else;
   5. Committing a bannable offence (other than just account sharing) on someone else's account;
   6. Wasting Staff time by lying about the account sharing;
   7. Sharing your account details with multiple people.

I understand I’ve made a mistake, but I didn’t gain any major advantage — I only used the NX for owls. I truly hope you can consider giving me a temporary ban instead of a permanent one. I’ve learned from this and will be much more careful going forward.
