I only vote on rasberri, previously I was voting on erktwerk but switched to rasberri now. My housemate also votes but we whitelisted back in 2021 when we first started playing.

the vote logs point out there's many days that all the votes are being done by the same person with a few seconds up to a minute in between to change IP addresses.

• Regarding this point - since Hoagie & I got whitelisted to vote together, we didn't think it was a problem to change the IP address and then vote one after another. We have a shared laptop where we have different browser profiles set up, so often times one of us would vote on our browser profile, and then once voted, close the browser and then we would pass the laptop to the other person. That person would then turn the WiFi off and back on (this would change the IP address) and then the second person would vote on their respective browser profile. We didn't think this was a problem since we're whitelisted to vote together and it was more convenient to vote on the shared laptop since we were already near each other.

Looking at login history theres sometimes 10 seconds between Mildoo logging in/out and erktwerk logging in/out on that same device indicating one person knows the details to both accounts.

• Are we not allowed to share computers? Is this against the rules? I could share a picture of our desk setup where you can see that our desks are right next to each other where we could just turn around and be at each other's desk already. Depending on what we're planning to do on Royals, sometimes one setup is more preferable over the other so we just swap computers. This doesn't indicate that we know each other's information, moreseo that we are just comfortable swapping and we can do so relatively quickly.

the IP address on forum account sunshinemome briefly matched that of hoagie and erktwerk but was quickly switched over since they arent supposed to be living together.

• SunshineMomE is Hoagie's mom - is she not allowed to come over and log into her forum account? Do you need proof that his mom isn't living with us? I'm not sure what you mean by her IP address changing quickly, but she does use her phone and sometimes our devices. Maybe she got disconnected from the WiFi while she was here?

 

RPharmacist and Paramedics is an IRL friend of me and my housemate. I believe those other characters are his mules but I'm not 100% sure. Iingling is my mom.

 

No our IRL friend does not live with my mom lol. My mom plays on a laptop that I used to own that my friend has used before when he would come over and play. Is it against the rules to play at other people's houses and use their devices?

I’m still genuinely confused why I was banned. I answered every GM question honestly, received no meaningful response, and then watched my appeal get closed anyway.

My housemate and I were properly whitelisted before voting, and we each only voted on our own accounts in accordance with the rules. The accusations now apparently boil down to:

• we play in the same room,
• we log in around the same times, and
• friends have used our connection during LAN parties.

I didn’t realize “having friends over to play games together” was considered suspicious behavior on an MMO server.

The funniest part is how confidently staff seem unable to comprehend that people can play games socially in real life. Apparently if two people share WiFi, desks, or a friend group, the only possible explanation is vote abuse and account sharing. Maybe the staff would understand LAN parties if they’d ever been invited to one.

Considering the reputation Royals already has for handling ban appeals and “investigations,” I guess I shouldn’t be surprised. Clearly the concept of “friends” is harder to recognize when your entire social life is forum moderation.

@Heidi how is my case vote abuse? I am whitelisted and I only vote for myself. How is that vote abuse? Please elaborate because right now it seems like you’re trying to group me with my housemate which doesn’t make sense to me because I am clearly my own person as you can see in my whitelist application picture. Until I get any sort of clarification, it looks to me like you guys just don’t believe that people play together IRL, which makes the server look like a joke.
