To Start: It is my understanding that my computer has been permabanned, and I know that the ban is completely my fault, and deserved, as I had indeed hacked (fly hack, god mode, fast attack). I also now understand that bans have been carried over through the wipe. Fact: The ban is completely my fault, and ignorance is no excuse. About Me: I started playing MapleStory when my brother introduced me to it back in version v34 in 2007, and played it with him practically nonstop for 4 years, until Nexon finally did it in for the both of us, after that we migrated to League of Legends, and played that together for a while, but got bored of it fairly quickly. A couple of months ago, my brother found MapleRoyals and started playing it, he was so hyped to have a server from "MapleStory in its prime." I was fairly apprehensive about starting the server however, because I remembered how much Maple had consumed my life in the past, and I wasn't sure I needed that again. But, when I started playing, the nostalgia hit, and it was well worth playing during classes. Now, I hadn't yet invested much time into the game, and I heard that there was going to be a server wipe. So, at this point I thought I would just mess around, and have fun with the game for the last little while, and start fresh after the wipe. I messed around a bit with fast attack, god mode, and fly hacking, and got a few accounts banned due to this. I didn't think too much of it, because the wipe was coming, and I would just restart legitimately. I started playing, but after an hour or so of playing, the account I was playing on would always also get banned. After posting to the forums about it, I learned from John that bans carried over post wipe. I didn't think much of this news at first, figuring it was probably for the best, and that I didn't have access to the game, otherwise I would spend entirely too much time on it. But as I watched my brother level up, and play the game, I felt like I was missing out, and I felt left out as well. I tried to make a new account, just to get back into it. My brother gave me a mil, and quite a few tobis to get me started, but then, as always, the account was banned. I searched around on the forums, and learned that my computer was banned from connecting to the server. Now, after having had another taste of the game, I know I do want to play it again, and get back into the maple world. Why? It wouldn't be unreasonable for you to think "Why should we trust you to not hack again?" And it is my fault for having lost any small amount of trust in the first place, but I really do have a desire to play once again on a server of Maple in its prime. I understand if you decide not to lift the ban, however I ask to just give me the chance. I know I can be a positive force in the Maple world, and a wonderful addition to the community. I would just like to thank you guys, whether or not the ban is lifted, for doing an awesome job. The moderators are friendly, and the staff that watch the forums are spot on, and helpful.
