Last thing you did: I don't remember exactly what i was doing, but i was talking to someone about buying a claw.

Why do you think you got banned?: I still am somewhat new, and was unaware that buying items with real world money was ban worthy. That being said, I do understand that now. Someone Smega'd saying that they were selling a claw and I asked if they accepted real money. They asked for an offer, I named one. they informed me then that it was against the rules. They then made a counter offer, and I said something along the lines of "you just told me it was against the rules, why would i do that now given that i now know its wrong". They said they were testing to see if id take the offer. I thanked them for informing me about it and then proceeded to log off afterwards and get on my main account for a bit. I never actually bought anything with real world money, and i do not intend to either. I was unaware that it was against the rules at first, and now that i do, I have no intention of trying to in the future. I would be very gracious if I were to be unbanned as I now know the rules, and I never did actually purchase anything with the real world currency. I really enjoy playing this private server and have even donated to the site because I play it often and have a lot of fun doing so. I would be really sad to see the account i have put so many hours into be permanently banned for asking someone about buying something, and then when realizing I cant do that stopping and giving up on trying to buy with real world currency. Unfortunately, when you signed up to play this server you agreed to its Terms and Conditions which specifically prohibits using real world currency to buy and sell items and mesos.

 

Which, I have not done. I only inquired about doing so, when realizing my mistake, I stopped immediately. I have always been a strict follower of the rules. In one situation, I accidentally came across a way to duplicate an item. The first thing I did was ~GM and I told GM Dimitri about everything and gave him the extra item explaining how i accidentally had 8 apples instead of the 4 apples i started with. I love playing this game, and have put hundreds of hours into playing it. I am begging that you reconsider. I have put so much time into my main character Sleekdrol. When I played Old maplestory, Purchasing items this was was a common thing as I sold all of my items upon quitting.I am very sorry, and trust that if you were to give me another chance, I would never even consider the option again.

 

Buying and selling ingame items for real world currency was against the rules on official versions of Maple, too.

 

Let me be then even Clearer. I did not buy or sell any in game items within Maple Royals. Ever. You have successfully picked out and commented on the one section in my last comment that has no effect on the actual situation and commented on it while ignoring the rest of it. I did not buy or sell anything. Period. I asked someone a question. If something as simple as that can get a player who has been honest and dedicated during there time in the game banned, I'm sorry but it just doesn't add up.

I'm not convinced by your story.

 

So the other, longer, conversation that i had simultaneously with this one that validates my story is not worthy being posted? just the one that puts me on the chopping block so that you can feel better about yourself leaving me banned. Look further into the time i was logged in during the incident if that is all you were able to come up with. Look into my transactions and find that I received nothing that I didn't pay for or earn in game. If your just trying to make me go away just say so. But dont only post bits of what happened during the incident and ignore the part that goes along with exactly what I've told you. I put a lot of time into this game and my account, and it really upsets me that you have such little regard for that. At this point I am just so ashamed as to how this has been handled.

 

It doesn't matter. Let's say you didn't actually go through with the transaction using RW currency, you made a believable claim to have gone through/offered to go through with the transaction which also is a violation of the rules. In the next server you join, I highly recommend you read their T&C before you start playing.
