What did I say that got me banned? The ripe age thing?

 

Doesn't ripe mean young? I didnt say anything before or after that implying that I meant something sexual or offensive.

 

Well that is what i meant it to be, I only said "That's a ripe age" I didn't mean it to mean anything more. I feel this is very petty it seems like people are just looking for something to ban me for most likely cause of how much i disagree with with what you can and cannot say. I am not a bad person I even asked hyou not to ban the person that was ksing me. I did not mean anything sexual or offensive when i said thats a ripe age and i didn't imply it.

 

I also belive I did not offend anyone by saying "that is a ripe age" I don't believe that is profane

 

Saying "that is a ripe age" when Tim mentions in a notice that the banned player's sister is 8 years old is considered pedophilia, which is not okay. You should know better, really.

 

I was not implying that at all I have no pedophilia intentions behind saying Thats a ripe age I was refering to her age being young

I have used it to mean young and I have done so in the past. I did not have any sexual or offensive intent behind saying "thats a ripe age" I still don't believe that is worthy of being banned.

 

I do not believe what I said would be considered profane language and my intent was not sexual or to be offensive.

 

We find it hard to believe that someone like yourself who has good English and is obviously intelligent would misunderstand the meaning of "ripe" so badly.

 

My English is average and I don't think I am intelligent I am average at best and have said that to people many times. I don't think I misused the word ripe so badly that it warrents a ban. I still don't see how "that's a ripe age" is so offensive and profane that it warrents a ban. This feels very petty to me that I am being ban because people think I had some sort of pedofile intentions behind it when I did not. I still don't believe I was using profane language. I have in the past and understand why I have been banned before but I don't think I was so wrong her that it warrents this.

 

However, the staff feels to the contrary and deemed this type of behavior unacceptable on the server. Now you know for next time.

 

I feel I have been treated unjust and very disspointed by the staff and how you guys have treated me. "that's a ripe age" and I am ban absolutely absurd.

 

For what it's worth, I'm quite sure you didn't have pedophile intentions, likewise the others who also smega'ed inappropriately. However, there's some things you don't make public jokes about without dealing with the consequences. If you stop and think hard about it and try to see it from other points of view, you'll hopefully see just how your statement comes across in the context. And if you're using ripe to mean the opposite of what it actually means, we're going to get the regular English meaning and not the KevinxJacobs meaning. There's no way we can start going down that road of: "Oh, I use that word to mean the opposite of what practically everyone else uses it to mean!", otherwise we'll have a load of people trying to get out of any and every situation by claiming they didn't mean it like that. If it's clear from the situation that someone's accidentally mis-used a word or accidentally typo-ed, then that's fine. However...

 

I still disagree with this. I now feel I cannot smega anything that does not have to do with buying or selling and basically being a robot cause now next time something like this happens I will be permanently banned for something I don't feel I should be. This is my biggest issue with this cause now I am just scared to smega at all

 

Think about it - you've smega-ed plenty of stuff that you didn't get banned for, right?

The sort of stuff to stay clear of is:

1) Bigoted/hateful/discriminatory smegas - eg racist, homophobic
2) Anything that contravenes the game rules - eg buying mesos with dollars
3) Sexually explicit content
4) Really sensitive or controversial subjects - eg the Islamic State, terrorism in general, Hitler/Nazis, pedophilia, rape

You may not, but the majority does. If that keeps you from SMEGAing about anything but buying and selling, so be it. That's your choice, not ours.
