Character Name: shystar Last thing you did: Zakum Why do you think you got banned?: A character named Pass/Nuuu reported me for accountsharing Ban message when attempting to log in:Mike permanently banned shystar for Account sharing What GM banned you (optional): Mike Dear GM, I am here to seek for your open heart to consider this appeal with an absence of bias if there's any irrational justifications made by other parties. Thank you for spending time to check on the logs, but I felt the punishment was made hastily as the report's screenshots are unjust to my situation. This is my first character trained in a private server as recommended and received many guidance by a real life friend JesusBlood, though I understand now that it is not an excuse for not being thorough with the rules beforehand; I may have been completely mindless about it and I hold accountability of the consequences. It is exasperating that it would constitute to major accountsharing abuse and to deserve a permanent ban if it's being a first time offense. Rules are rules; they are there for certain reasons. I've come across the purpose of this rule is to prevent hacking, correct me if I'm wrong; but do the GMs ever consider our intention is not to hack/steal/abuse before deciding on the outcome here? I am hoping that GM would show just a tiny compassion this time to look into the matter again and consider releasing us from permanent bans seeing it was only a mindless and an innocent act. Thank you.
The issue we have with accountsharing is not one of hacking or lost items, but rather one of multiple players attempting to gain an unfair advatage over others by using one anothers' characters when they cannot use their own. While I feel for your story and I do sympathize with your plea, what JesusBlood has done using your account constitutes major abuse; he has used your account in order for him to attend extra boss runs when his own ability to attend the runs on his character were on cooldown. This gives him the advantage of being able to attend more runs than he has earned the ability to do on his own. You as the owner of shystar are therefore implicated as you are the one who permitted JesusBlood to use your account to accomplish these ends. Upon consulting with other members of staff, we have come to the conclusion as a group that what has occurred is unacceptable, and thus your permanent ban will not be overturned. While the action may seem mindless and innocent to you, it is not so for us; we believe that what has occurred is highly unfair to other players. Finally, you have acknowledged that there is no basis to an argument by pleading ignorance to the ToS, which I am glad to hear. I do want to assure you that the decisions we have made are based solely on the outlines we have for what constitutes major abuse with regards to account sharing, and not based on any biases we may have towards any player involved due to other actions they may have taken leading up to this ban.
