the account Lullatone was played on by someone other than the account owner (Colin) so the account got banned for account sharing.
A group of my friends and I decided to play the server 2 weeks ago, after recovering from the shut-down of extalia (another popular server). I knew that Colin had played this server previously (I've been friends with him ever since I was 2, about 16 years) and I asked him if I could use his account. Him obviously already have being quit, granted me access to his account. (I can show iPhone text records if you want). Due to my ignorance to the TaC, I played on the account, mostly on the character "Magic" merching. When one of my friends who was looking through the ToC, they told me about the fact that account sharing was against the rules. I created a thread to get one of the IGN's on the account deleted, (which i'd prefer to keep anonymous), which was granted by GM John(edited after checking the name), I believe, about 2 days ago. I will not waste your time by lying. I was on the account. When I found out that I was breaking one of the rules, I made an effort to create my own account right away, to avoid continuing to break the rules. At no point did I use the bishop Lullatone, to leech my character, or use any of its money. When I logged onto it originally, It was mostly a clean account, besides a Zakum Helm and the character itself. All the money that was earned on that account, was through the most recent event, and merching. I believe that my intentions were in the right, although my actions were wrong. I would also like to extend an apology to the Staff for breaking the rules. If it could be discussed, I would like to propose that the ban be changed to 30 days, as the TaC states that a first offence would be given a 30 day ban. My intentions were to move whatever progress I had made from Colin's account onto my own as soon as I knew that I was breaking a rule, and seeing that you know him by name, it would be a shame for him to have to lose his account if he ever chooses to come back. Him being former rank 3 on the server (i believe?), he is probably well known and would be a shame if his account were to be banned because of a mistake of my own doing. If my request is accepted, As soon as my 30 day ban has been served, I will log onto the account, move my mesos and items from Magic to my own character on a seperate account, and will not log into the account again. Again, I apologize for my ignorance on the matter, I accept full responsibility as well as the ban that I have received, and I thank you for taking the time to read my situation.
Please don't bump your ban appeal, as long as it's open it means we're still working on making a decision.
You have been using Lullatone to: - purchase and use gachapon tickets - purchase wish tickets - purchase red envelopes - give away super megaphones - purchase scrolls - purchase zombie's lost tooth (for orbis exchange quest) To say you earned everything yourself by the recent event and merching is not quite the case. It seems that upon obtaining your friends' account you have been and using his wealth as a kickstarter for your own character. This is an unfair advantage that we deem as a major account sharing breach of our rules.
If the case is merely that I used the account to accumulate some sort of wealth, I think that a more fair alternative to this would be, remove any and all meso that I have earned, and reset my Character on my personal account to Level 1. That nulls all points that you just made, as unfair as I believe it is I'm willing to admit that I did break the rules, and for that again, I apologize for my ignorance. But the fact remains that when I did realize I was breaking a rule, I did not try and remain hiding on the account, I made an effort to switch. If all that is done, really the ONLY thing I will have gained from Colin's account, is an ign, and the loss of $10 from donating. Again I believe that my intentions were right although my actions were wrong, I'm willing to accept a 30 day ban aswell as the wipe of my items (which really isn't much to begin with), if you're willing to reconsider. I never did leech my character, and whether I used the barely 100m in scrolls to merch, or farmed the money using the event, it doesn't change the fact that I merched the money I made. Which in all actuality, is irrelevant. I'm offering to erase ALL of my progress on the server thus far. And everything else mentioned thus far is 100% true. I've known Colin for over 16 years, I did intend on making my own account when I knew I was breaking a rule, which is easily proven by the fact that I asked to have an IGN moved to another account. I have given away a grand total of 2 smega's to a friend, the rest were transferred from Lullatone to Magic, using my account as the middle man as the Cash inventory doesn't work. I've used gachapon tickets (which anyone can do on any account by voting so I'm not sure why that's such an anomaly?), I have purchased thousands of Red Envelopes and Wish Tickets (which is what I was making my money with as I was merching them for fairly decent profit). When I logged into Colin's account he had 91 GFA 10%'s, which I sold for 1m each. So yes, I used his "wealth" as a kick-starter. It doesn't disprove the fact that I played for countless hours turning his 91m into over 2b, which as previously stated, I am willing to give up for the change of a 30 day ban. At the end of the day, It was a mistake that I tried to fix, and am now banned for. I am offering to erase all of my progress thus far, in return, not for immediate unban, but for 30 days. Having read multiple other ban appeals, I know that what I'm offering is something rare, which is a compromise, instead of trying to tell you that I didn't do what you as the Staff know is already true. If we want to keep going into extremely minor details, we can, I'm sure everything I said can be misconstrued in some way or another, but I'm simply asking to save everyone's time, change the ban to 30 days, and remove my items. If you want to mention the fact that I was still on Magic 1 day after I had made my new character, it's because I did not want to arrow transfer over 2b meso, and get nothing in return on the other end, because quite frankly we'd be in the same position, except you'd think I was selling in game cash after playing for a week. I was finding ways to spend the money on items that I would use on my character, and once I ran out of money, my time on that account would've been done. I really don't think there is anything else I can mention. I've given you as many details as there is, and I've come up with a fair punishment for myself, that corresponds with the rules in place.
After discussing this with the staff we decided not to make an exception for you. A couple of things you did match with our perception of major account sharing abuse and not knowing / reading the rules has never been a proper excuse to break them. You and your friend's account will have to remain permanently banned.
