Character Name: TGCal Last thing you did: Training at Wild Boars Why do you think you got banned?: I was changing channels to look for an open training map. I came across one where almost all the monsters were gone and thought it was mysterious. There was one person on the map afk on a rope. I jumped down and started attacking some monsters that spawned. I then changed channel because it was eerily quiet, I trained for around 5 more minutes, then was logged out and shown the permanent ban message. Ban message when attempting to log in: Your account has been permanently banned for serious violation of the rules. Therefore you will be unable to use this account. Details: Autoban: TGCal Mob vac
The Mob Vac autoban gets triggered when an individual player (not someone else/anyone on the map) uses a cheat engine or packet editor to move the monsters all to them. Because of your autoban, I believe it is correct and you were likely experimenting with a hack which unfortunately, you got caught.
There is absolutely no way this can be true! I don't even have any hacks downloaded on my computer! Is it possible that the autoban could be triggered by attacking monsters on a map that were being mob vac'd by someone else? I would not spend countless hours this past month and also donate to this server to foolishly hack and get banned for it. Why would I need to mob vac when I have a lvl 151 bishop that I could easily leech myself with?? I beg you reconsider your decision.
Sorry I overlooked your comment that it isn't triggered by someone else or anyone else on the map, but how does the autoban detect something like this? Is there anyway it could be erroneous? Has it been before? What does it look for when it autobans someone? I'm not going to let this go because I did NOT hack and this is unjust.
No because there is no evidence that this was a false ban so as far as we are concerned, you used Mob Vac and got caught.
How could I provide evidence that I didn't use a mob vac?? If you check my account histories, I grinded a bishop from 1-151 in 3 weeks. If I have that kind of training ethic, why would I want to use a mob vac? I saw another ban appeal recently that had a similar bug where they got banned for attacking slime mobs. If there are similar cases to this like mine, wouldn't that point to some kind of erroneous bug in the mob vac autoban system?
Well it seems like I'm not going to be getting my ability to play MapleRoyals back. I think it's extremely unfortunate that the staff does such a great job maintaining a fun, fair server, but there is no way that I can prove my innocence from the autoban system. I even donated $20 recently because I really enjoyed this server and wanted to grow with it, but I guess it's time to move on. Thanks MapleRoyals staff for the fun your server have given me this past month, I wish you all the best
Actually, I did try to download another server recently - OpenMaple. I didn't finish the download, but I tried to download the client into my Mapleroyals folder before cancelling the download. Could that have triggered the system to autoban me?
Could you perhaps upload some screenshots of your MapleRoyals folder so we can see if your files got mixed or not? Please make sure to include all the files in your MapleRoyals folder in the screenshot and make sure to also show us the file types, dates and file size.
I've compared my own MapleRoyals folder to the one you've sent screenshots of, but I don't see any OpenMaple files in that folder at all.
Ugh this is super unfortunate. So there's no way the autoban system could've had an error? I see another ban appeal open with Magelootz and it looks to be a very similar situation.
