Why do you think you got banned?: I was banned for vote abuse. *Reason for ban appeal below. Ban message when attempting to log in: At first it was "Your account has been blocked for illegal charging/funding." Now it's "... for hacking or illegal use of third-party programs. The ID has been permanently blocked." The initial 7-day ban for vote abuse is legitimate and I wholly agree with it, but I have never ever used hacks or third-party programs so that particular reasoning does not apply to me. If the permanent ban is because of heavy vote abuse, then it is because my brother and I both abused voting using 3/4 accounts each using the same IP address. Even then, I should not be permanently banned as I believe that heavy abuse is defined as 5 accounts or more. Also, who should I message with the account info for my brother and I so we can play and vote without getting banned in the future? Thank you for your understanding and consideration.
I count 8 accounts with the same IP address as yours which falls into the heavy vote abuse category which is why the ban is permanent. Dustin can look into this further as this is his field.
Yes. I am aware that there are 8 accounts on the same IP address and that this is normally grounds for a permanent ban. However as stated above, both my brother and I abused voting using 4 accounts each for a total of 8. I only used 4 accounts and this does not equate to heavy abuse but merely a 7-day ban. My appeal against a permanent ban stands on the reasoning that my vote abuse should not be considered as "heavy" because I (Endeavor) only used 4 accounts. The total of 8 accounts on the same IP address is merely because m brother used 4 accounts as well.
I don't think you realize that skirting the permanent ban by having 4 instead of 5 accounts to vote abuse is a good idea. As I said, Dustin can review this further, but since we have no proof you really have a brother and that you are two separate people, and all 8 accounts are used on the same computer, it will stay at a permanent ban as part of the heavy vote abuse policy for now.
I realize now that since I cannot provide proof that there are indeed 2 different persons on the same IP address, the chance of removing the permanent ban is very slim to non-existent. I just thought I could try before giving up on the character completely. Thanks for taking the time to address this though.
IP/Computer Ban Hello! I accept that my character "Endeavor" will never be unbanned for heavy vote abuse, but will my computer/IP address always be banned as well? I would like to start with a new character and play legitimately. Right now, even if I make a new account, it says that the account has either been deleted or blocked from access.
