The monster you hit 2868 on with poison mist is supposed to be immune to poison. (I went in-game to test it myself and they are immune to my poison mist) I will have to discuss this case with an Admin.
It means that doing more than 1 damage is impossible with Poison Mist, as the monsters are immune to the element.
What he meant to say is that it's impossible under normal circumstances; to be able to do that damage to those monsters would require hacking or editing the game in some way. As Tim said, we are discussing this so please be patient while we come to a conclusion.

OK, it looks like MapleRoyals setup didn't complete properly for you. Please save any screenshots you have in your MapleRoyals folder and then uninstall MapleRoyals. When you've uninstalled it, check to see if there are any remaining folders and files relating to MapleRoyals and manually delete those. Restart your computer, then redownload the MapleRoyals setup files and reinstall the game. When you've done that, please post another image of your (freshly downloaded) .wz files.
Your files look a little wrong to me, unless the contents of the setup files have been changed recently. You're missing one .wz file (PatcherSettings), your Etc.wz is the wrong size, you have another file missing (MapleStoryUS) and I don't think unins000.dat and setup.iss should be in there. Before you make any changes, I'd like @John to take a look at this, as he's the one in charge of creating the setup package, and therefore he will know if the missing and extra files are supposed to (not) be there. I think it's likely that the PatcherSettings.wz file is an old relic from when we had a patcher in the setup files, so that's probably fine, but I'd like John to take a look at the others when possible.
What I can tell you is that I have not changed nor altered anything. These files are directly from the setup from your website.
Yes the setup changed slightly so all files shown in the screenshot are correct. Does not explain the damage however.
Maybe it helps if I tell you that I was in a map in cwk, where there were other mobs other than nightshadows. Maybe I hit nightshadow and another mob at the same time, which inflicted the 2~k damage to nightshadow, due to a bug? I honestly dont know either. For all I care please try to fix this case as fast as you can D:
