So it happened today. I was caught botting/hacking at Ninja Castle and was banned. I had started playing MapleRoyals since 2016 and had my fair share of enjoyable times. Since starting, for a month or so every year I would come back to the server to relive the nostalgic MapleStory experience. I must say I was priviledged to have experienced quite a bit of the nostalgic features put up by this server over the years, some of which have become obsolete or non-existent in today's MapleRoyals. I was fortunate to have played when Ludi PQ was actually popular among players and is always filled with parties. LMPQ was also working back then and it was really enjoyable clearing the rooms and collecting the coupons. Back then I thought, if only Carnival PQ worked it would be perfect. CPQ was so fun in MapleStory! Dexless sins jumping around in room 5/6 killing rombots was so cool! And when I came back to MapleRoyals this year, I was delighted to find CPQ working and bustling with players! Although there were no longer dexless sins pwning rombots, but rather 0 damage hp wash sins that shamelessly leech, I still enjoyed my fair share by making a dexless dit that pwns in room 3/4. So this year I managed to have experienced (almost?) all 2nd job game content put out by MapleRoyals. And it was a big deal because in MapleStory I never got past level 50, LOL. Naturally my next goal was to experience the third job game content which I never got the chance to in MapleStory. And it turned out to be so boring. No PQs to go to for leveling and everyone just went leeching. It was slow and painful. I guess that's why I ultimately resorted to botting/hacking. Fourth job and Zakum was the only thing to look forward to and as a busy graduate student with lots of real life commitments I only wanted to get to fourth job as fast as possible. Well I guess that's not going to happen this year since I'm now banned from the server. Making another account by ban-evading and starting from level 1 is just too much of a time investment. So I guess it will be bye bye. Was a pity I still did not manage to experience fourth job in the end but MapleRoyals had already brought me enough fun. I'm not sure how many more years MapleRoyals will exist since players are all growing up will eventually leave for other commitments in life. Kinda sad to think about it. But still, wish everyone and the server the best xD
