The first problem:

Doesn't matter real or fake, it's still considered as major vote abuse. So you'll remain permanently banned for it.

For your wife's case, and I assume she stays with you in the same house, because you both voted without being on the whitelist, it's considered a violation against the rules as well. She will have to make a ban appeal of her own. Each player is entitled to their own appeal, so we won't be assisting in your wife's appeal here.
