I'm from Malaysia and I understand the distance between me and the physical server definitely will have some delay on my gameplay but the delay wasn't noticeable at all since I started on this server until a week ago. But now, most of the time, my attacks have delay on registering to the mobs, looting items and all kind of stuff Is there a network route change can be done on the server's end or something similar? Because there's another private maplestory server that fixed my latency issue by doing that. Performance from Task Manager shows that I have 421MS, pinging royals.ms from cmd also show 400+MS Also have a pretty decent internet speed testing on my region's server.
I'm having the same problem as well! I have decent internet speed and when I tried pinging royals.ms, the ping was 323 ms.
