Today, I was talking to my brother and we are both assassins. He said he had heard from a higher lvl Night Lord that his base Int was 60 and 100 w/ equips. We eventually want to HP wash and want as high of a base MP as possible. Is pumping AP into Int for the higher MP and AP resetting it (lets say at a higher lvl around 140+) a good strategy in HP Washing? And what would be a good base HP to be at for a NL? Thank you!
Yes, base INT will give you many more possible washes. However, it's not cost effective until you have a full set of int equips and is only really necessary for people who want to wash excessively.
im new so i only had to funds to get about 40 int from equips. do you think that is enough? or would you suggest i pump some points into int? and if so, how much? Sorry for the questions
My assassin had exactly enough to get 120 int with equips, allowing me to wash once every level. This amounted to around 58 base INT last I checked, but it depends on the equips you have.
What is your current level, HP, and MP? What is your goal with HP washing? Are you washing just because someone told you you needed to, or is there something you want to be able to do? There are a couple goal numbers that make an actual difference in your training - 1. 5.2k @120. This allows for you to tank a hit from papulatus 2nd body, which is just over 5.2k, meaning easier pap runs and even the potential to solo if you wanted. This is highly unnecessary for any class except maybe corsairs, as bowmen can just puppet him, and NLs can just dark sight (this dmg is only touch, not magic). Additionally if your duo partner is strong, you can just keep him knockbacked anyway. 2. 5.3k @ 130. This allows for you to tank a hit from Anego's mid-range gun attack. You still cannot tank her slap (close range, does 18k!!!) but this is enough to kill her with ease for most people. The main difficulty in pinning anego for me as a bowman, and the time that I most often get hit is when I'm trying to jump over her to get to the right side. NL's with their incredible avoid and ability to flash jump rarely have this problem, so this isn't a super important marker. 3. 5.6k @155. This allows you to go HT. It's a necessity before you go, otherwise you will be 1 hit by ranged full-screen magic attacks at the tail/legs. Not much else to say here. Fortunately this requires very few washes. 4. 9k @ 155. This allows you to go to HT without HB. It's not necessary, but it makes things easier on you and on the run organizers. If you dont have this number and the DK dc's, you're pretty SoL. Even if the DK doesn't D/C, you'll still be freaking out any time there's a dispell. This number avoids any issues like that, but it takes a LOT of washing. 5. 11k @ some time. This allows you to tank a hit from bigfoot. As it's almost impossible to tank a slap from anego no matter the degree you wash to, this is just about the highest HP that it makes sense to wash to. Its going to cost you billions, however.
thank you for your detailed answer, jmmainvi. I am only lvl 59 with 187x hp w/ items and 111x mp w/ items. without items, I believe my HP is 164x and my MP is 101x. I think I could only HP wash 2-3 times with my MP right now, which is why I would like to up my MP a bit. Looking at your list, I guess my goal would be 6K HP, since 11K seems out of reach for me. Is the bigfoot damage of 11K a touch hit? If so, I could dark sight to avoid his damage. I think I will end up taking Jace's advice and try to get a total of 120 INT by pumping some AP into INT. Thank you for everyone that answered.
I didnt start to HP wash or wear int gear until at least level 90. Didn't even have a zhelm before then either. I still have 6.4k HP at lvl 165.
I disagree, for reasons above. Heavy washing for a NL is not needed. Again, I didnt' even start to HP wash until about level 90 and I did just fine. I had 5k by 125, 5.5k by 130 for anego, and 6k by 155 which was more than enough. I didnt get more than 1 wash per level for the majority of it- some of it was one wash per 2 levels. and I did fine.
Charlie pls. Tank anego or GTFO. While having int earlier is obviously better, if your goal is 6k there is no need to reset now. Your min MP right now is 974 - you can currently wash 3 times. If you want 6k by 160 (not counting your dep star giving you 100) you'll want to start adding int and grabbing int equips. My experience is primarily in bowmen, but the rules are about the same - they cost the same amount of MP to wash, but NLs gain about the same HP per level up, and about 1.2x the HP per wash. With an average of about 80 int until 130, I currently have nearly 40 unused washes, and 6.1k HP on my bowman at 159. I used 60-something washes to get to this point. To hit 6k by this point on a NL, because you started later I would recommend ~80 int until early 4th job. That number might be a bit high, but better safe than having to restart. If you had begun right away, I would say that 30-40 int would be fine to reach your goal. 80 int is 2 washes per 3 levels. For a NL, that's an average of an extra ~14.5 HP per level. On top of that you get a boost when you hit 3rd and 4th job. (IMO) the best way to achieve 80 int is: Zhelm 15 int dep star 5 int bathrobe 14 int wooden wand 6 int Yellow adventurer cape 10 int 30 int base Zhelm and dep star you should know by now how to get. The bathrobe can be made with 9 100%s and a 10% first slot overall. The 10% first slot can be found in FM pretty commonly for ~60m, and the 100%s gach from showa and are sold ~5-6m in freemarket. The wooden wand you'll want to scroll with 60%s, which you can buy for 200-300k or find at gs2. The YAC gaches out at showa and sells for 20-30m, and cape int 60%s cost ~3m in the FM. The cape has 8 slots, so it could potentially end up +16 int. This equates to a "starter set" for washing - each point after this starts to get pretty expensive, but you would want to go Earring -> glove -> yellow snow shoe -> better cape -> better overall -> shield, imo.
Adding ap to int is also really annoying. It makes your damage worse, costs 8m/ap to reset, and can't be resold. Anything you spend on int gear you're likely to get back when you're done with it if you buy it for a fair price. Also, regarding papulatus I don't find puppet works very reliably, it always makes the second body fly to the top of the screen for no reason. But you can just find a partner that can pin or stopper to pin pretty easily.
Puppet works reliably in a solo. It's only when you're in a duo and you either don't have aggro, double puppet to lose aggro, or your partner takes over aggro while puppet is up that pap will fly to the top, at least in my experience.
I know how it works sila . It's just that I want to know the algorithm for HP/lvl which I didn't find yet.
