I was told to make this thread since it wasnt known if this was actually a reported bug. And after a search I still dont see any current reports But basically, Beholder does nothing. It claims it increases your mastery by 10% with one point but after 3 points, i havent seen it increase my minimum damage at all. Even if I have beholder out. A guild member mentioned that it was bugged. I understand this isnt a major bug since beholder isnt that important of a skill like gen or hurricane, but it does hurt our stable damage and thusly DPS overall.
Like the description says it should be a passive buff. You sure you haven't had an increase in your minimum attack range? It should increase at level 1, 4, 7 and 10
I've asked a lot of fellow Drks, and all of them have the same story. It doesnt appear the passive listed in the ability does anything.
My brother is actually a Dk, and It works fine. No SS but i saw the minimum dmg increasing when wasting sp into the skill.
I've checked as much as I can regarding the skill, but it should be working automatically since it is fully client sided. If it isn't working this will likely be an unfixable bug in v0.62. I have heard it works in v0.83 though. And it seems like some others like Gianfrar seem to believe it works fine in v0.62.
