Hi there, I was wondering what is the best character for farming heartstoppers and leprechaun? So far here is my list I compile Bishop - Bahamut Arch-Mage - Ifrit Bowmaster - Phoneix Marksman - Frostprey Corsair - Octopi
When maxed (level 30) mage summons only last 160 seconds, which is a little inconvenient. I personally prefer farming on my BM because phoenix lasts for 200 seconds and it seems to have a wider range than bahamut (I could be wrong about the range). Because both BM/MM summons last 200 seconds at max level, you can easily skill macro it with the 2nd job booster so you can get an idea of when phoenix/frostprey is about to expire, just look at the top right when bow/crossbow booster is about to expire so you know when to recast. If you have a mage, you can power up Mana Reflection to level 16 and macro it with your summon so that they both last 160 seconds but you'll have to recast it more often. Also, I wouldn't recommend corsair for farming haha
Thanks for replying. Is it ok if I just keep an archer at lvl 129 and max their summoning skills? Would the summon be able to 1 hit voodoos?
Max phoenix should be able to 1 hit voodoos at 129, they only have 6800 hp. But if youre going to get an archer to 129, I'd make it an SE mule instead of a phoenix/farming mule but it's your choice!
I think that's the way to go as well. An SE mule gives you additional income/utility for bossing on top of summon farming. However, you do need to keep in mind that items despawn around 2 minutes after they've dropped, so a longer summon duration isn't always necessarily a good thing. I like using mages generally because the timer is a bit closer to the two minute threshold, but if you're actively checking your client it shouldn't be that big of a problem whatever you choose.
Also a good point! I usually loot stoppers as soon as I notice them drop. Regardless, you should be actively checking your client or else your map may get stolen or you could even be suspected of botting
