Hey fellow maplers i've come from a higher version of maple server and wanted to join the leech meta because I too am a masochist. Which mage is best to achieve big gains for my future night lord?
Im kinda biased as a Bishop ;P But from what I recall all three are on even playing field for the most part thanks to ultis. However I/L has better mobbing I believe. Bishop has better buffs, and F/P I think is just DoT.
Definately a bishop, you can use bishop to join any boss party to earn big meso (with no attack potion cost). You can use it to sell leech at skele, which gives a fair amount of fixed income. And for other mages, they can be add-on of your tools to make more meso, but you definitely need a bishop in late game no matter where you wanna go. It's making your gaming experience much smoother.
Bishop gives you the best training spots and a bossing experience as a support. F/P I would rate higher than I/L because they have the second if not best leeching spot in the game. If its your first account I would definitely go bishop over the fire poison mage.
I agree with Rhynhardt. Bishop is definitely "easier" to train. And its a good asset to have in your character selection. People always need leeching and hs. Youll make serious money selling leech and h/s at skeles
I’d recommend Fire Poison Archmage alongside with a HS Mule. Progression to 130 with a F/P is super easy efficient and low cost since leeching is almost unnecessary. Fire arrow is suprisingly decent in CPQs, and the moment you unlock poison mist. Leveling towards 120 is easily one of the fastest class just ranking behind Shadower. Unlocking meteor is a 8-10minute job with telerocks compared to blizzard (I/L) which is hellish to unlock. Skill Books such as meteor 20/30 is dirt cheap compared to genesis 20/30. Overall, leveling 2 characters at once wouldn’t be too difficult as well. HS MULE to lvl81 and remain as it is. Once your F/P arrives at lvl130, you should be able to start 1hitting ulu1/2 without much funding, with basic gears alongside with Zhelm and HTP. Whopping up an 1.6mil/minute (~100mil/h) while leeching. Moving to petris/duku after leveling towards around 145-160, once you obtain your mage gears cost ~6bil that would be your main solid source of income. What you’d be saving is gene20, gene30, leech money and expensive mage gears. Target to have 2.5mil/min income whenever your online while farming/leeching. Your NL funds should be ready in less then 2month of active gameplay.
Also I want to reiterate. Im a level 117 Priest and Im finding it difficult to progress. Priests at some point will need some funding to continue. Unless you can find free help which I have a few times. Unfortunately I dont see many people duoing himes anymore.
I’d recommend a bishop! Best skill in game F/P and I/L are mainly for leeching(some people won’t agree with me), while bishops are a must on every boss run. Also, skele leech is fun Kinda big investment but I totally think it’s worth it

Couldnt agree more, also Elemental wand 5 (fire) is a lot cheaper than Elemental wand 7 (ice) and i basically needed little to no investment to start selling ulu2 (which is more like 120m/h if you are efficient with equips). It's beyond me why most petri/ulu leechers go for I/L instead, because F/P is so much better budget wise.
I would suggest making a bishop, being able to both participate in boss runs and sell leech would be solid vehicles of funding towards your nightlord.
It depends, the main 2 factors here are cost and endgame potential F/P mage is the cheapest one to make, you can easily 1 hit with it and wand 5 is cheaper than wand 7 but it got low endgame potential, all you can really do with it is leech/farm etc I/L is kinda similar but slightly more expensive due to the wand 7, but it got slightly more endgame potential due to having more options like the OB maps or Neo Tokyo (most of the bosses there are weak to lightning so I/L can at least do some damage to them) Bishop is by far the most expensive one, it got a lot weaker damage and need much higher magic to 1 hit things. You also got expensive gen books (though they are cheaper now, gen 20 went down from 800m to like 400m). On the other hand it also got far more potential, it got many party buffs (especially HS) that make it essential in bossing and you can leech whatever map you want (including low lvl maps) without being forced to bring an HS mule. F/P mage is probably the best one if you want quick money, but I'd say Bishop is the best choice overall. It's just too useful, being able to bring it to HS every boss you want and provide other important buffs and also being able to join bosses like HT without needing atk potions or good gear. While you can make some HS mule and bring it to bosses, the low lvl and HP limit it to only zak and krex, you won't be able to bring it to higher lvl things like Toad, BG, HT, Neo Tokyo and so on. Even in Zak it might not be that good cause if someone dies you won't be able to res them so it's better to just have a bishop
