I've done the quest like 15 times at this point. On most of my chars the quest just automatically passed for some reason. On others it did require me to fame someone. Not sure what's the difference
I noticed this as well. I think the difference might be if you've done it before, as I think it's happened more on my chars who did it for 2023. I noticed on one char that the Photograph for cliff also almost instantly would despawn as well, but haven't been able to verify this on any other character.
Thankfully you can redeem before it expires, but Picture of Torr is set to expire 11/27 Not sure if this is the same on a character that didn't exist in 2023. Fame Quest did seem to auto-complete on character who did this the year prior in my latest testing as well. I didn't get the name, and there's no way to go back and check it so I famed a random person in the FM in compensation for this character test!
