Greetings! Feel free to just answer the poll question above... I am new to bossing and recently advanced to Bowmaster... I was just wondering, are Bowmasters considered good attackers, or even an attacker class in bossing? I normally see smegas R> for bossing groups that specifically differentiate the bowman class as the 'SE' in the group, while the rest says "Attackers needed". I realize it could be that bowmen serve as both an attacker + SE, so I just wanted to clear up the confusion on my end. Sorry if it's a dumb question lol... I don't know much about where any of the classes fall in terms of DPS (other than that NLs are probably the top attackers).
Yes, bow masters are atackers and do a quite good amount of dmg if they are properly build, but, they also have THE BEST buff in game wich is mandatory in every boss run, thats why even if one bm in particular is not that strong, is going to be taken over other atackers. The other members are called just "atackers" bcs the only thing they provide is that.. Dmg. This example may sound a bit weird.. But bowmasters are "the ball owner" doesnt matter if he know how to play or not.. U HAVE to invite them
They are kinda like a support-attacker hybrid I guess Their damage is below average (like 25-30% weaker than NLs and maybe 10% weaker than Paladins/Buccs) compared to others and they have no multi target damage so usually people recruit them for SE Though with good gear you could still do some serious damage and white some bosses (unlike classes like bishop that are pure support)
Ermm.. No. Compare nls dps with any other char its pointless bcs nls do around 30-50% more single dmg than any other job(except by sairs.. But, thats kibda hard to explain i will not to here) but saying that theyre under pallys or buccs.. On static bosses im not quite shure that they do less dmg than them.. But on moving ones.. U forget that arrows follow the target... No, forgeting nls, bms are still great single target dps
hey there, in my opinion i believe bow masters or marksman can be very strong if you are level 160+ with lots of funding. however in terms of comparing their damage to other class, they are weaker. they will struggle a lot in level 120-150s due to low damage. The lack of archers in this server makes the class very good right now because you will be able to join a boss party easily. (zakum, cwkpq, krex etc.. people will even beg you to join I feel that if you treat archer as a 50% attacker 50% support (SE) . and not worrying about damage. You will find this game more fun. Although NL can be very strong, they are also tough to find party because there are too many in the server. Its not fun when you cant find parties. I like to be the one who chooses people . i can choose which parties to join because everyone needs me. its nice to feel wanted
Another advantage of having bowmasters is pinning targets against the wall. It's a natural knockback. Hurricane's rapid attacks can force a boss like scarlion/big foot/yakuza stuck against a wall. Of course, a high damage NL can do the same.
