First of all, I think this post belongs somewhere else, i.e. "Report Bug", or "Character Issues". Second, although I think you would have solved this by now, I think you can access the training grounds through the portal above (inside the map where Kyrin is). If that's not the case, let me know and I'll try figuring it out with you ingame.
Yeah, I found out you have to choose the "Talk about something else" option to move to the quest map. The portal above doesn't do anything though
