Seriously though, it sucks that there's not high enough demand for the GM's and mod team to bring back Mac support. RIP all those lost in the war.

And also, who said anything about "not high enough demand for the GM's and mod team to bring back Mac support"? As a matter of fact, we spent days discussing this and just for your info, when the custom client arrives, it will get support on all popular OS, including Linux. But due to the work needed to be invested in it, it's better to be done after the high priority stuffs are completed. TLDR : Native Mac and Linux support will be possible when the custom client arrives. Not a matter of if, but when.
