Hey, I remember Mushroom Castle as a REALLY fun place to quest-grind and spend time at, with an entertaining storyline, fun scenery, new mobs etc. To me, it feels like introducing the Mushroom Castle to MapleRoyals won't adversely affect the nostalgic experience, but vice versa actually! I believe it could also alter a bit the way people play the game at early levels, and make it a lot more fun, moderating overflow of leeching, tedious CPQ and so on. In my opinion, Mushroom Castle could easily serve both new players and veteran players who create new characters occasionally. I Would love to get the opinions of you fellow Royalers, you are more than welcome to leave comments and vote in the poll
This was suggested many times, see here and here for some good feedback posts on the topic. As someone who shares a fondness for that area, I would also like to see it in the game. While the threads I linked are closed, they are not considered denied. I think the content can exist in Royals with some tweaks (for example, making the dungeon like maple island with 1x rates as opposed to 3.2x). It'd be a cute, nostalgic way to get some early 2nd job levels (35-40 by the end) as others have mentioned, which would land you in a good area for CPQ or make you eligible for LPQ. If the area were to be repurposed for a different level range (I don't think it really should), then it should be sub level 100. Of course, there are some hurdles to implementing the content, most notably importing the assets required (maps, mobs, etc) which may take up more space than is currently available. Additionally, there are several ongoing projects. Otherwise, I'd bet implementing the area requires no new client edits or things like that, as all the required functionalities already exist and work. Most of the time spent would probably be scripting NPCs and bug testing. Anyway, I think this is a popular suggestion and very few would be against it, but there are few hurdles in the way.
Alot of the end game content and bosses on Royals is from later versions. Personally, Im all for more 2nd and 3rd job training areas, add mushroom kingdom and kerning square and ill be about as happy as one can ever be. +1
I'm kinda in whatever mode right now, but you're correct. There's a ton of end-game content from later versions here. I really enjoy doing Ant Tunnel, Teddies, and CPQ 20-40, so Mushroom Kingdom feels like it's overshadowing that. But, as you mentioned, we already have content from later versions. Do we really need to keep adding more? Plus, the quests in Mushroom Kingdom give A LOT of experience, even with 1x rates. If we reduce the quest experience a bit, that might be a good addition to this server. But i genuinely don't care really haha
Gm's do try to adjust new content so that it is seen as another option and so it doesnt invalidate older stuff. To me i dont really care about exp rates, as im more interested in just having more options, more chill places to train and of course new bgm to listen too
I think it would be great if we just replace carnival with it, and lose carnival. That's unlikely. But if mush kingdom is considered, Id like it if mush kingdom pq didn't offer exp at all, but reward a lot more tokens than any other pq. edit: this keeps mush relevant to all levels for tokens, but won't peel ppl away from current pqs who want to grind in respective pqs
How about we forget about this mushroom kingdom idea and also lose CPQ so we can enjoy the truly nostalgic grind experience like this: screw mushroom kingdom lol
Lol no you already have enough contents. I seriously doubt this feedback will be brought to mapleroyals but IF IT DOES i'd say mushroom kingdom for levels 50-70, because i think CPQ2 makes players level way too fast with little to no work.
If Staff were to decide to add Mushroom Kingdom then lv50~70 would be ideal. I still think we need content for the lv90~110 bracket. I suggested for Staff to rework Magatia PQ from lv71+ to 90+ but it seems it might have been rejected seeing as how they added MPQ to the lv60 Olaf
No, that is not true, none of them are casual. Please, if you may, share with us which maps are the casual maps I suggested for.
You guys already have end game content, so many bosses, PQ's, maps low levels can't enter etc. as xDarkomantis said, we need more content for levels 90-110 but in my opinion, CPQ2 has to go immediately it's a joke how fast you can get exp there.
Don't want to detract from the thread anymore but I think CPQ2 is fine where it's at right now. Most of the people who complain about CPQ either want PvP that they won't ever obtain or trying to force other activities for that level range. When CPQ2 was nerfed a few years ago, a lot of people tried to do OPQ/LMPQ but ended up resorting to buying leech because they couldn't tolerate those PQs. So many smegas for mb1/2 & WR leech... This my last comment on this... Please don't beat me Dave
I remember old videos of people playing MapleRoyals, where they did LMPQ and OPQ before CPQ2 was introduced + before most clips got deleted. Back then, not everyone immediately paid for leech because not everyone could afford it. CPQ2 hasn't been made easier, and you can still get experience points without much effort. All you need to do is contribute 500 CP to your team, and you'll get 150k exp for losing and 200k for winning in just 10 minutes, with only a few minutes of actual fighting. It seems a bit unbalanced.
Hello, please refrain from derailing this thread - which is about Mushroom Castle If anyone feels CPQ2 (or any other PQs) is unbalanced, please comment on the relevant threads (or start a new 1) Note: it's completely fine to discuss a "what if" scenario of Mushroom Castle such as instead of level 30~38, and adjust it to other level ranges such as the mentioned 50~70 or 90~110 (but some of the comments are about other content such as CPQ2 being the focus)
Mushroom Castle (Lv30-38), Kerning Square (Lv35-50), Chryse (Lv51-70) Good for gamers whose level is about the level of monsters on those maps, new territories to explore, and new weapons and armor. It is fun. Let it be like an event - these maps and quests appear twice a year for 1 month. Then, it wouldn't separate the players permanently.
