Hello everyone. I'm interested in making a buccaneer, however I have a few questions since there is no guide on the class. If anybody could help me out that would be great. 1. How much accuracy should I be aiming for by endgame? (Zakum, HT, BF, etc) What sort of equipment/base DEX should I have to achieve this? 2. What skills am I going to be using to train in 3rd job? SSK, CSB/BSB, or Energy Blast/Shockwave? If somebody could help me with a skill build that would be awesome. 3. How many HP washes would I need to do to tank Bigfoot at a reasonable level and go on HT runs? Is it important enough for buccs that I would need to add any base INT to wash later? 4. Do buccs still have glitched/broken skills? That's all for now. Thanks in advance!
@Sila pls The end game accuracy that you should aim for is 165 at Level 160 which can easily be achieved by getting a Zakum Helmet scrolled with Dex, a Raccoon Mask scrolled with Dex, your Pirate Overall scrolled with Dex and the fact that Pirates have the luxury of having two skills that provide accuracy for first job as well as mastery. For third job, you'll be using Shockwave and SSK for the majority of the time. Energy Blast is bugged. The cooldown rate for Energy Blast is much longer than advertised so it's pretty much useless when you compare it to SSK. You'll want to start on a mixture Transformation and Shockwave. From there, you could max out Stun Mastery and then the rest of the skills in what order you wish. You'll mainly be using Transformation/Shockwave and SSK while Transformation is under cool down. As for HP Washing, the earlier, the better. To survive Bigfoot, you'll need at least 11.5k HP to survive a hit which isn't asking for too much seeing as Buccaneers have a good HP/MP ratio. You could get away with a base of 50-80 Int (Depending on your Int gear) and wear some additional Int gear. For Horntail, you'll most likely be in a party with a Dark Knight seeing as they need your Speed Infusion, but washing up to the point to surviving touch damage from Horntail (19k+) is not fun. As for your last question, it's a yes, but fixes have been made to the point where it shouldn't effect you much in the long run.
Accuracy is relatively easy to come by as a bucc. Get a zak helm, a dep star until you can attend HT runs at 155, 10 dex earrings and with a bit of base dex you should be good to go. If you want to be completely dexless, then you'll need to get a lot of dex from equips to wear a king cent or dragon slash claw. Whether your dex is from base or equips doesnt matter- you can scroll your overall for Str if you want and have a higher base dex, or scroll it for dex and have higher base str. 3rd job, I suggest transformation/shockwave, then energy charge, stun mastery, and drain. Leave blast unmaxed, as its essentially broken- its good for mobbing/gathering, but not for killing because it has an annoying delay. You'll need 170-ish INT if you want to tank a bf hit by 130. 8k HP clean -> need 5k from washing -> 125 washes -> need 2000 extra mp SI is still "broken" in that it doenst stack with booster. Instead, it gives +3 speed and overrides booster. This is still effective though. Energy charge charges way too fast, which isnt really a bad thing, but it doenst stack with attack pots so anything lower than red cider is null/useless. Energy blast in third job has a delay, making it unspammable. You'll use SSK and other second job skills to train with in between transformations. Fourth job wise, barrage, dragon strike, TL, super trans, etc- all your core skills work. Energy orb or whatever it is doesnt do damage, but it's not as useful as it may seem anyway.
@Sila Energy Charge is just for the attack buff, right? If so, should people save up skill points until it's actually better than a Warrior Elixir?
Energy charge is mainly for that, yes. I get it at lvl 1 for the stance effect and then i saved points afterwards. I maxed transform and shockwave half and half at the same time- one level 2 points SW 1 point Transform, next level 2 points transform 1 point SW. They build off each other, so it's good to max them at teh same time.
I'd like to add that you will never have to worry about accuracy like a Warrior does. I have no rac mask, nor have I ever purchased accuracy pots.
