Alright so this problem occured about 2 hours ago. I left my client open as i went downstairs to eat. When i came back i got disconnected from the server. When i tried to run the client again it gave me this error ''Error code: -2147024809 (The parameter is incorrect).'' So i looked into the Troubleshooting guide and did what it told me to (change compatibility mode etc). After doing so i got the 11001 error. My attempts to fix it: -Try every diffrent compatibility mode. -Reinstall MapleRoyals -Restart pc -Disable firewall -Run as administrator ( i always do ). -Remove GMS and EMS from pc ( thinking it might somehow corrupt the files ) I joined this server 3 days ago, and it was working just fine till this moment. Please help me. I was having alot of fun in this nostalgic server. Saddly the daily bugs are becoming very tiring ( no NX for voting - No SP Gain for levelig, and now this. )
That 11001 is probably either your antivirus or you having a corrupt download. Are you calling a server crash a daily bug? There are no issues with playing the server this error that you can't start the game is solely on your end.
Right, i forgot to mention that along with di Right. i forgot to mention that along with disabling my firewall i also disabled my anti virus. How can it be on my end, if i did not change ANYTHING. I left my client open. went downstairs to eat, came back and then i got these errors. And no i am not saying the server is crashing daily (as i have only been here for 3 days) but i am saying i have gotten some kind of error/bug or whatever atleast once every day NOT counting a server crash as a bug. Oh and i have no idea how i could possibly have a corrupt download, as i said i reinstalled the game....
Since the server is working and so far you are the only one with this problem, it is less likely to be the server. Ok so i did some googling and found that alot of people with windows 8 (like me) are running into DNS problems. So it very likely is a DNS problem, with this in mind i searched the forums to find something relative and came to this fix posted by Oldie so i tried it but when i wanted to save the hosts file it wouldnt let me and i got this message: https://gyazo.com/feea72122587ef65cc27087cbc5e5363 so i tried to change permissions so i could adjust it but i couldnt, in the next picture you can see the boxes are greyed out and i cannot click them. https://gyazo.com/56bb8945aed1911f7c8a4ec4409529fc Then i tried to flush my DNS with ipconfig /flushdns after restarting my pc this didnt help either. Help please, i have very little knowledge about DNS or computers in general and this is confusing me a lot....
I can't say I have any special knowledge about this problem. Try restart your modem Try googles public DNS Test with a different network like using your phones 3g/4g and see if the problem even is network based.
How would i test connection with my phone? I prefer not to use public DNS. Right now i m gonna upgrade to windows 10 to get rid of this shitty windows 8. If that doesnt help ill probally reinstall windows completely unless someone else has a better idea. Also tried googling the error some more but people with this problem only occur in regular MS. and all the solutions they have to offer either dont apply or dont work for me.
If your computer has wifi using mobile Hotspot. That's just to test if this issue could be a network problem.
