It's the 10th month after new source hit Royals, and Horntail has been unavailable ever since. Newer players, after character creation was re-enabled, have also reached 4th jobs by now, but unfortunately some of their skills are forced to be capped at just 20/30 at the moment. The supply of skillbooks in the market are also getting scarcer, and their prices are also sky-rocket high now. Can we please get a temporary source of skillbooks until HT is back on the menu? Make it from gacha, drop from snail, quest, anything. Unless HT is back by next week, pretty please?
I really don't see an issue with this, as people who are selling the books are losing out on money that wouldn't be there if HT was out. Kind of sucks for those who bought books, but, even things like meteor 30 are hitting like 500m. Dunno how plausible it is though.
They should put their effort into bringin HT back instead of thinking in a way to make books available. Even in a temporary source, it wouldn't be fair to the people who hardly fought HT for their books. I know the feeling, I need Snipe 30, which used to be like 40m, and now it's reaching 150m+ I might just wait for the return of HT for the prices go back down to buy it.
100% agree. Additionally, before HT was released on Maple in general people's skills were maxed out at 10 or 20. So think of the wait for HT like the initial wait when HT first came out. Nostalgia hype!
Totally agree with this At least people have the option to buy books right now even if it costs a lot of money , at first we didn't even have access to HT until over 1 year when it was working properly and we did just fine. If people think they need some ht books really bad they can go ahead and buy them . I feel like this suggestion could be considered a few months ago , but now when a lot of things are fixed and HT is the main (or one of them) feature that being worked on , just need to suck it up and wait for its release. How is it nostalgic when players who played before old source have all their skills maxed out on multiple characters due to HT already having been in the game? I came to this server because of nostalgia, but at this point... Dare I say it, the big heads who own this game are trying their very hardest to push that upon the player base who have grown so accustom to so many features that were previously in this game. The simple statement of "For nostalgia", has really been getting on my nerves lately. I mean honestly, how hard would it be to implement an NPC that sells HT books for 1b each? 1.5b each? And upon releasing HT remove it? As it stands now the only thing nostalgic about seeing new players capped for damage compared to older players is for the older players to continue to see their damage far outshine those who have only just started.
"Nostalgia" aside, I think it's best to just wait for features like HT to come out before we add some random custom content that would take away from said development, it just seems kind of counter intuitive imo. I feel like it would be silly to fully code & then test something like a skill book gachapon or something.
I can see your point with it not being viable since HT is (hopefully?) nearing completion / being able to be implemented. But the argument of it not being able to be a viable option due to nostalgia I can not. Since it was once already a thing in the game. Theres no nostalgia to it at that point. Its just a lucky unfairness for the people who had been playing before new source(alpha testing) launched. I don't mind waiting for it myself(i have MW20 and TT30), but there are those unfortunate new players who would have to pay some 800% increase since old source for a book. TT30 used to be 400-500m, now they would have to pay 3-4b+ if there are even any books left in some players storages.
Skill book gachapon 100m per ht drop from the gach. Are you lucky and will you get mw20? Or will you get all of the bad luck and end up with.... a below average weapon.
I was just saying you missed his point. But if rather they work on fixing HT than waste time with a temporary work around. Time working on some sort of NPC or something is time away from getting HT and a working autoban system working.
That was exactly it. And I meant it tongue in cheek as the response to most things is "because nostalgia" or "soon"
I had an idea of how to implement a Gacha system where you can give as a reward skills books in general, which would render the economy useless. Thanks to this point, I think it's a bad idea considering that, the economy can go low until HT comes back.
lol it could work I think you can make a gach that drop every skill book in the game (except the quest ones) and you pay 100m, and ht ones would get a lower chance. You can get mw20 or something expensive or get a lot of useless skele books lol
