Can you guys hire some programmers to write a reconnection function?

Old school boss fighting is quite long. You guys have been running this for over one decade and you didn't think about building a reconnection system? You have so many donors.

 

For one of the private servers I played before, they just allowed the player to disconnect intentionally (no number of times limit or countdown in the waiting hall) to survive the boss fight.

It's just the difference how operators treat the outdated gameplay (they also provide a way to easily pass the second Zakum pre-quest).

Any excuse for not improving game experience sounds more like laziness (And you still haven't provided 16:9 screen option till now).

 

If you read Nut's response in the thread that Dave linked you'd see that 1. It's not that simple to implement and 2. Abuseable so would need revisions.

Here they also have an alternative, it takes some time and it's not that easy but why should it be?

That's kind of a crazy statement considering the amount of content this server has added over the years. Yeah last while has been kinda barren and Matt seems afk but not like it's been riddled with huge issues for years. Also 'hiring' programmers is not as easy as just posting a job application and having it filled.
Server stability had also massively improved, DCs occur way less often than before.

I don't mind you got mad and mad again for dc during bossing if you don't want it to change. I quit anyway.

But why do you assume MapleStory players must play hard to get what they want? Meaningless torture. If you like "hard", just to change the drop rate of hortail pendant to 0.1%, so players would be extremely happy to get one!

It's the total divergent ideas that, I think all the outdated designs should be removed and operators just consider it a part of the game, which most of the time, it would be regarded as "unacceptable" by modern game players.

 

Just laziness, no other excuse. If you really wanna solve it, there are much more solutions. If other servers can make it and most of players think it is good, why not Royals builds one as well.

 

Seems like you just wanna hate on Royals, if others servers are doing it so much better why not just go there?

Also if zak quests in mapleroyals are too hard just skip them and get a scarga helm instead. Having challenges or things in a game that cost time is part of the game, especially MMOs.

 

Because that server is dead, cuz operators afk for a long time, just like Royals now.

I've already cleared over 200 video games, from epic ones to indies. And I create game mods as well. I know clearly which design is the "challenge", and which is the "outdated".
