Closed Cannot retrieve items and mesos from Fredrick the Store Banker

Problem: Unable to retrieve items and mesos from Fredrick the Store Banker after I close my store.
Details: I closed my store to retrieve my items and mesos and was greeted by the message in the screenshot below. I have tried numerous times to retrieve my items but have not been successful.
