Can't connect to MapleRoyals , getting the SC/firewall msg.

so i allowed access from Firewall/windows defender on my whole Royals folder & new Royals client.
somewhy I still get thos error message , any solution?

( also usually I change royals to win98 and run as an admin. this time when i grabbed the mapleroyals.exe to the folder, it changed into vista. and you can't change it. )

 

I have the same problem on windows 10. I allowed acces to firewall and defender. The game worked for me yesterday but now i get this error.

Im getting the same thing right now. It was working just fine for me this morning.

I even have my firewall turned off.
Set to Win 98, Run As Admin, I have the new client, all that good stuff.

And it was working wonders weeks ago.

 

My point is it was working great untill yesterday's update. since many people having this issuse, I think we need some possible solutions, I have talked to my ISP, they changed my IP/dns and still getting this message.

can any admin look into this issuse?

 

I have similar problem, I managed to log on once with the new client then disconnected after changing channels. after that I can sometimes log on to chose character but dc at character screen and get the sc msg or it just wont launch client at all.

 

EDIT: This explanation is no longer applicable in most cases and does not explain the way your game tries to connect to the game server. This is only applicable if you are on Maple Royals forum from another computer because you can't access the forum on your computer.

For everyone not being to connect At All
The only thing that changed yesterday is that the IP address of www.royals.ms has changed (The game always tries to connect to www.royals.ms). Make sure you haven't installed a hosts file patched and forgotten about it. Consider that some piece of software has cached the old IP address of what "www.royals.ms" used to resolve to.

What IP does www.royals.ms resolve to when you run this command in command prompt? :

ping www.royals.ms

The correct IP is 192.169.81.114

 

Ok, what do I do with this IP? or how can I check if my Client enters the right IP?

I pinge the www.royals.ms via cmd.exe, still nothing

 

Mine said exactly 192.169.81.114

 

for me and @yanyan this issue fixed it self (i think) atleast we are now able to play the game.

Although I can't connect either, and it's not an issue of resolving the hostname.

I wonder if it's relevant to the DCs and lag I had 2 days ago. Do you guys live in north america?

 

from australia getting this server check firewall message whole day was working perfecting yesterday, got new exe, did this done that none if it works absolute bs

 

I have tried flushing dns and reinstalling which does not help in this situation, at least for me. I also went to check on command prompt and the IP is 192.169.81.114 .

Same problem working fine 2 days ago i live in north America running on windows xp service pack 3

 

The IP came back as the right one when I pinged royals.ms
I'm gonna try flushing my dns now see if that does anything

 

I'm having exactly the same problem, can´t log in since the server check, I'm in México if that is any help.
