I'm unable to connect to MR on my LAN connection. This be it through the client, or through my browser.

I'm on a Mac (not that it matters for connections). I've tried pinging MR through terminal. I can't resolve the host. I've tried going to royals.ms via my browser (chrome and safari), the error is also DNS related. I've also tried swapping my DNS to use google's 8.8.8.8 but still no result. Lastly, I've also flushed DNS but still wont fix it.

    Any help?

You probably have to wait for your ISP to update, might take a few hours to a few days at worst.

If you're having complete trouble with any normal options and you don't want to wait for this to get fixed, then you can patch your hosts file to manually tell your computer how to connect to mapleroyals as a temporary fix.

    http://www.tekrevue.com/tip/edit-hosts-file-mac-os-x/

Add the following two lines to your hosts file:

    192.169.81.114 www.royals.ms

    192.169.81.114 royals.ms

Please remember to undo adding these two lines to the hosts file after a week when the normal way of connecting is functioning, otherwise the next time the IP changes you will lose connection again (I'm giving the benefit of doubt that the next time Royals' IP changes, your DNS won't give you this issue and you will be able to automatically connect. Also, it's easy to forget that you've made a change like this, as I did, wondering why the website was down for 8 hours instead of 1 hehe! (It wasn't.) )

That's real smart. Manually point the royals.ms to the new IP using the host file. Thanks!
