So for some reason I was mac banned then John unbanned me and now I can't connect to the server.

    I'm getting this error
    [IMG]
and John said I should post here for help. Thanks!

    -Edit-
Just realized I should say what I have tried.
    1. Antivirus disabled in addition to having exceptions for both the client and the entire Royals folder
    2. Firewalls off and allow bypass for Royals client

It's probably that you have microsoft loopback adapter, hamachi or Hotspot Shield active on your computer.

What antivirus are you using?, some have had problems where making an exception didn't work and that the antivirus keeps running in the background.

I do not have the loopback adapter, hamachi or hotspot. I have BitDefender which had some issues (I've posted here before) but I was able to play fine using my exceptions until today.

Disable your antivirus completely and then try.

This is a problem with your connection tho.

Unless you have those adapters installed, and you are sure you don't have any security programs running, call your ISP it's the only way.

login from another computer using your internet if you still have the problem that means it's your connection if not that means your pc does it.

So here's what I've done so far. I have contacted my ISP and they said that there seems to be no issues on my end, however if I wish for them to fully inspect my connection, I would need to pay an additional fee (which I'm not going to do). Also, I tried it on my sister's computer (same OS, same antivirus, same firewall settings) and it works fine. So at this point, I'm fairly certain that it isn't my internet connection. I have double checked for any loopback adapters and I'm certain that I have none installed or enabled. Could it be possible that I'm still mac banned because this only happened after I was mac banned.

Mac bans usually end up with you getting dced from character selection, never seen it give unable to connect error.

If you used another computer on the same internet and it worked that means you most likely have something blocking your connection,

Are you able to access internet while you get the unable to connect error?
Have you checked under "device manager > network adapters if you have anything enabled like loopback.

I had this same error when I was mac banned. And yes, I'm able to access the internet.

Try going to cmd and using these:
    ipconfig -release
    ipconfig -renew
    ipconfig -flushdns

Yea I'm experiencing the same problem too...
After I log on to my account and into the character selection page, I immediately get disconnected
from the server : You have been disconnected from the login server. Please try again later.
It's not account ban, it's your IP that they've banned...

I have to say it's quite weird, especially since you say you can use another computer and it works.

The only thing I can think off is that you have something blocking your connection, as in either you have an antivirus that still runs in the background even tho you tried making exceptions/disabled it, you have something installed that messes with it, some adapter, maybe your wifi, bluetooth, your firewall settings, broken files ( re install, but first uninstall mapleroyals at the control panel, then delete the folder if it's still there),

I would try disable all adapters and try using a cable, then if that doesn't work I would uninstall all security programs, if you have windows defender you need to go into the admin check and uncheck the box or else it's still active.

Maybe you have a virus on your computer, try using some free programs and deep scan your computer, then uninstall them.

@Wallou - I've double-checked all the MAC addresses you've logged in from and none of them are banned. Also, the message you're getting isn't the normal one if you're MAC-banned. If you're MAC-banned it would tell you that you have been disconnected from the server.

I just wanted to post back and say how I fixed this so that if anyone else has this issue in the future, they can see it.

So the directory itself was having some issues, not exactly sure what. But I just copied the Royals folder and pasted it elsewhere and it worked fine. (Such a simple fix for such an irritating problem)
