Just defeated the Athena Pierce clone, and got the black charm. When I give it to Athena Pierce, she says: give this to Renne but doesn't take the black charm and doesn't give me the necklace of strenght that is needed. I forfeited all my active quests but I still can't get the necklace. Edit: Ok so I dropped the black charm and tried to obtain a new one to fix the problem, but it doesn't let me go in the door of dimensions anymore... Edit 2: Nevermind, I was able to complete the job advancement anyway.
