Can't go Windowed Mode

I am on windows 10, my recommended resolution is 1900x1200.

I've tired using other resolutions, I've tried ALT+ENTER, I've tried going into the game setting and clicking it from there. All I get is the windows error sound and a box that appears at the top right corner. I tried other compatibilities but I can only run the game on 98/Me. I'm not sure if this is a windows 10 issue because on Windows 8/8.1 I was able to just change my resolution and then change it back.

Hopefully someone can help because I do not plan on reverting back to 8.1!

 

I'm not sure what causes it, as a start I would suggest uninstall the game in the control panel delete the folder then install it again.

Yes and on all except Win95, Win98/Me, Vista, Vista SP 2. I receive this error.

 

You could try have "run as admin" and display scaling on high DPI settings ticked in.

 

My settings were like that for all the methods I used.

 

Maybe try the opposite and remove some setting, other than that all I got is re install.

You could download DxWnd, to run the game in windowed mode, until a solution or maybe when the beta comes live.

 

I don't know how to use dxwnd.
