Can't launch, says I have no disk space

    When I try to launch the game I get an error message saying 'An error has occurred while executing this program, free up harddrive space and try again.'

    Any suggestions? Yes, I have more than enough free disk space.

    What kind of OS do you have? And can you post some more details about your computer. RAM total, CPU/RAM/Disk usage?

    Also, how old is your computer, or more specifically, your hard drive?

    Windows 7 64-bit, 8GB RAM

    Another lead could be that when I first start the game I get 'Create Process Failed code 740. The requested operation requires elevation'.
    But that's only once, afterwards I only get the error mentioned above.

    First thing is first, try running it as Administrator. In fact, right click > properties > Compatibility > check Run this program as administrator.

    Also, through the task manager, under the performance tab, can you tell me how much of your CPU/RAM/Disk usage is?

    I already tried that, but no luck.

    4% CPU Usage, 38% Memory
    On C I have 12GB and on D, which is where I installed the game, 260GB.

    Can you run a chkdsk and disk utility cleanup on both drives?

    I used cleanup on both drives and ran chkdsk.
    chkdsk didn't find any problems.

    I would re install the setup, antivirus program might cause problems with the download.

    If you're going to go that route, can you see if it makes any difference installing it to C drive?

    I redownloaded the installer, ran the installer with admin rights and installed to C, but no luck.

    Yeah.

    From all the answers I get from googling it seems to be an admin rights thing, but nothing works for me.
    I turned off UAC but it made no difference.

    Good news, everyone! I did a manual install and it worked!
    My guess is something goes wrong during the installation regarding admin rights.
