ever since 88 got updated, my computer keeps finding trojan viruses inside the download it won't let me open it after download, no matter how many times i've tried... adding a picture via attached files, it has a problem with a specific file. i can see that my anti-virus windows software removes "trojan" files that the download folder contains. but this didn't happen before. why are there viruses in there?? message contains following text: "Failed updating the game: open ijl15.dll: Operation did not complete successfully because the file contains a virus or potentially unwanted software." can you help me please??
You have to set an exception for Royals https://royals.ms/forum/threads/making-mapleroyals-an-exception-in-windows-defender.103839/ Note: there isn't any virus (malware) in Royals files
thank you for the quick reply. i am adding info: however, i can see as my computer is reacting to the game, it shows me which file the defender has removed: some of them are literally named "trojan". how can i be sure my computer is safe when downloading mapleroyals?
The "trojan" is detected due to Royals files not having the official Nexon signature This also occurs in their legit game files as this is how they combat piracy and hoping players would quit Royals https://maplestory.nexon.net/news/24299/known-issue-anti-virus-false-detections Should you want to be very sure the game files is safe before downloading or installing, you would have to consult with the anti-virus company but they would advise you to not play any private servers instead
