So, on my hero I have been trying to go on zak runs so that I can get aca10. However, recently, i keep d/cing during the zak runs.

Seeing as I am on a mac, I tried many of the suggestions put forth by people on the forums (tried it on parallels and bootcamp), but nothing worked. I even tried adding in more GFX's (not just GFX'ing when arms and bodies die), but I still was unable to finish the run.

I would say I've gone on 8+ runs this week (6+ on parallels and 2 on bootcamp) and have d/c'd at various points throughout them (my closest to finishing was being halfway through the 3rd body, but on average I d/c halfway through the first body). The most frustrating thing is I never had a problem with zak before (i have gotten 3 helms on 3 different character with no d/c issues), but now all of a sudden I just keep d/cing, and I haven't changed anything (same computer, same internet, sitting in the same spot)

It's also a weird d/c like it doesnt bring me to the login screen. My whole screen just goes black and I can't do anything.

I'm not really that great with computers so any help would be greatly appreciated. Also if you could ELI5 that would be amazing. Thank you!

    Thanks for the bump Kat.
Just an update on the situation. I finally was able to complete a zak run making it 1 out of 3 finished on bootcamp (also just so happened to have aca drop which was nice)
I'm not sure if the following is just coincidental circumstances or if there is a correlation between it and my problem (just wanted to point it out in case it helps with anything), but in the beginning of that run, I thought to myself "you know what? let me try something different", so I stayed on the right side of the map instead of the left where zakum buyers usually stand, and that was the only run where I didn't d/c. During that run, it also just so happened that every attacker on the left side d/c'd.

Like I said, it was just one run and I never tested it again, but just thought I would add it on in case it was helpful

Don't think that does much which side you stand on, if there is lag being on the side with less attacks would probably help.

What windows are you using? I know for me I can't use windows 7.
I would try another another OS.

I don't use my mac for bossing since I have a PC, but I sometimes use VMware and in that win 7 didn't work for me.
I would try other windows to see if it helps.

Royals would occasionally crash for me (maybe 1 in 5 runs, not nearly as bad as you're describing which is why I didnt mention this earlier) when I was using win 7 on bootcamp at zak. Since I have switched to Win XP, I don't even need to GFX anymore (though I still do it occasionally to be safe) and have never dc'd during a run for anything besides server-sided lag.. I use XP in parallels at the moment.
