Cant Start game

    Hi,

    I have recently just signed up and downloaded the game and when i try to start the game i have a flshy white screen for a couple of seconds and then an error code appears.

    Error code : -2005530585 unknown error 0x88760827

    Now i have been looking online and i've done all i can but no help!!
    The very similar error code that has been posted on froumn is Error code : x2005530585 unknown error 0x88760827 rather than Error code : -2005530585 (unknown error 0x88760827)
    (it has a '-' sign rather than a 'x' and with brackets)

    I hope someone can help so i can play and enjoy the old maplestory i liked ^_^'

    are you sure that is the error code? never seen any of the error codes you have posted.

    yes i am sure the fact it says error code: is a clue ~f2 but im not quite sure either. well the error code :Error code : x2005530585 unknown error 0x88760827 <--- that one is in the forumn somewhere but isnt quite the same
    and i dont know what to do?~f1 if you can help i would really apreciate it XD

    The common cause of this problem is that something is wrong with the computer's registry and it needs to be fixed. What you can initially do is to restart the computer and try again. If that doesn't work, use a registry cleaner to fix the problem then restart your computer.

    yes but didnt supply this cleaner did it??

    and is this safe to run? i dont want a virus

    urgh well i have just restarted and nothing it just gave me the same error code,
    so then i run the cleaner and select all the registery problems and fic them -then restarted computer and now still the same error code.

    any chance you have both both a tv and a monitor to your pc?

    well my monitor is intially a tv pretty much high res tv that workd for pc XD
    i saw the post about that, and that is saying how if you have a tv vard installed into your machine i think, of which i do not have..

    You could try disable your antivirus uninstall MapleRoyals and download it all again, could be corrupt files.

    ok i will try that, but also there is another thread to do it all manually should i do that?
    as i have tried to re install the programme with the same setup howevere it doesnt work so it says do it manually.

    Have you tried restarting and you still get that error code?

    yes i have and now i have done manual download it still comes up with same error code? :(~f9 its quite frustrating

    You could try changing compatibility and see if that helps, I have never seen this and have no solution.

    right click the client > properties > compatibility tab and try the different options.

    you could also try changing from your TV since it could be causing the problem.

    yes i have restarted and i have desabled my firewall and antivirus. nothing still same error code

    compatability mode (xp server pack 3) does not work -same error . and what do you mean by try changing from my TV ?
    get a new monitor?

    meant more if you had something else to try with.

    Well try all the compatibility options, might work.

    so strangley enough it works on my laptop.... so thank you for all your help , ill take it from here to get it working onto my pc and if i have further problems i'll re ask :) thanks:)
