Hi, Recently I got a new computer and the game can't run on it. I keep getting this error: In my previous computer the game worked fine. I tried googling my problem and none of the solutions I found worked (most google results were from this forum) Please help! Update 1: After reformatting PC 3 times, I still couldn't solve it. I've tried everything. - All compatibility modes - Running as admin - Restarting - Redownloading - Running game several times - Reducing color mode - Disabling dpi - Closing all apps before trying to launch - Changing to all resolutions and hertz - Updating drivers - Disabling antivirus - Completely deleting antivirus - Installing on a different drive - Running on a clean PC with nothing but MapleRoyals installed - At some point I managed to also get "CoInitialize has not been called" at first runs and then unspecified again.. which different compatibility mode should fix according to google but it didn't Anyone has a suggestion? something that I didn't try? Update 2: Tried few more stuff that also didn't work: - Completely disabling my graphics card, using the built-in graphics card my motherboard has. - Reinstalling graphics card drivers - Installing all versions of Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable (2005, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2013) The only thing I could achieve is Getting: more frequently.. (I'm still getting unspecified as well) Update 3: The game finally works!! It's all thanks to Matt's post with the fixed client! When I get that error, I just keep on trying to launch the client until it succeeded. Did no changes to properties or whatsoever.
I wanted to play for a week now and it still doesn't work.. You should try some of my methods you haven't try yet, maybe one of them will work for you
Whenever I get the 1008 code, I just restary my computer and running the game as an administor. Just keep trying until it works (takes me 5-7 times).
