Can't Stay in Others Maps

I've been noticing GM's have been banning people for refusing to leave maps even if they're not kill stealing. I think this is wrong and the player should have the right to stay in the map as long as he wants. Some maps like the Ghost Ship maps tend to be full and if you notice that one person solo training you should have the right to wait for them to NPC equips or leave and take that map. Just my opinion and I feel the bans are unfair.

How about you just use /find instead and leave them alone in their map?

You'll get more EXP that way, as it means you can actually train while waiting. Killing in a map that gives slightly less EXP (GS1 is nearly as good...) has a far greater EXP gain than the 0 EXP you'll gain hanging around in somebodys GS2 map making a nuisance of yourself.

In saying that, I don't think it should be bannable if you haven't killed at all (if you do kill anything, you shouldn't be allowed to then "promise" you won't do it again if you can stay, as that leads to annoying drama for GM's to sort out).

But seriously, grow up. You don't need to hang around in somebody elses map waiting for them to NPC stuff or DC. There are better things to do.

And taking someone's map just because they had to go NPC/Died/Dc'd is just plain rude and inconsiderate, regardless of if it's allowed or not. Would you want someone to do that to you if you had spent hours in that map training, trying to hit a certain milestone?
Find another map, train elsewhere. There's no need to stalk someone and wait for the second they leave, when you can easily just ask nicely. "Hey, can you whisper me when you're done? I'd like to train here when you're finished"
    Simple problem, simple solution.

If the GM's deem it to be problematic that somebody is hanging around in somebody elses map, then perhaps they could tele them back to town, or even just ban them for an hour so that they have time to think about how unnecessary their actions were.

3 days bans are clearly a bit extreme.

There's also two sides to every story. The people who I've seen reported/banned for waiting in someone's map were in trouble because they had been asked to leave and had refused to comply, not solely because they were sitting in the map.

This would be my doing. In the cases where I've done this, the person has initially ksed and subsequently refused to leave the map despite repeated requests by players, by myself, or both.

My own personal preference for dealing with this would be to warp the player involved to the most inconvenient and/or deadly place I can think of so that they don't come back in too much of a hurry. However, as there is no provision for this in the T&C, this is something I/we can't do (yet!). Also, VIP teleport rocks might render this somewhat pointless.

The warping thing also wouldn't work if there wasn't a GM free at the time to deal with the situation and if the situation needed to be posted in Report Abuse some time later.

As far as I know, 1-hr bans aren't possible - minimum is 1 day. If the rest of the staff feel that a 1-day ban would be more appropriate, I'm happy to go along with that.

Camping out in a map where someone is trying to train, repeatedly refusing to leave and making them feel pressured/uncomfortable is, IMO, rude and unreasonable.
