Not sure if item is bugged but was on Channel 1 got 2 cats eye from meerkats which quest giver stated they drop no issues and then after that i farmed for almost 1 and a half levels on channel 1 and 0 drops. decided to look it up and older threads stated same issue. one even stated they dropped the cats eye from their bag and got 4 in under 8 minutes so i decided to try it out. dropped the 2 i had and continued to farm on Channel 1 and got nothing for a while. So i decided to try something else which was CC and farm in the same map and I got 1. figured it was just luck or w.e. so i just continued to do the same CC'd after i farmed the 1 and got the another drop in about 0-10minutes. CC'd again to a different channel got another one in the same amount of time. did this and eventually got the 4 drops all within about 20minutes. Not sure if item is bugged or not but i got the first 2 drops easily back to back took about 10minutes or less for the 2 then after that nothing for maybe an hour.
This issue is RNG probability But feel free to update this thread if you are still stuck with the quest
yea im not 100% sure if bugged or RNG depending on what the actual drop rate for them is but seemed like an extremely low drop rate or if it were bugged after just 2 drops. did it again just yesterday on another toon no issues with my method completed it in maybe 2x less the amount of time i did with the 1st run i did. still ended up staying a little while longer farming lidium for the other quest in the area but that was fairly fast
