    Hello lovely people of MapleRoyals! :D

    I haven't played MapleStory in a long time and just started MapleRoyals two weeks ago, so I don't know much about what things cost.
    Which specific class would be the cheapest to fund for end-game AND WHY?
    (Average end-game equip prices. I don't care if some classes are weaker than others without even trying.)

    Some Notes:
    - I don't mind playing any class. I have tried all the classes back in pre-BB MapleStory.
    - I'm am currently unfunded.
    - Looking for decent high (not pathetic for a level) damage and bossing pretty early

    Thanks in advance for your input! ^^

    Honestly, funding doesn't matter here.

    My first char is NL and I was just fine.

    Think about it like, if NL are really good, a weaker class would need more funding to be as good as a low funded NL. It all sort of works itself out.

    For instance, I'm making a shad right now (ignore bombing for the sake of this example). I have a ton of money to buy him good equips and keep his dex/str low. BUT, he still will get out-damaged by an NL with little to no funding.

    Ah okay. That makes sense. Never really thought about it in that way.
    But at the same time, I'm not really looking for a comparison between their damage. Obviously some classes are OPed compared to others.
    Really I'm just looking at the average price of end-game equips.
    If that makes any sense at all. ^^;

    Should've wrote that to begin with.

    I think that highly depends on what your goal is. Is it to have high damage? Get to bossing as fast as possible? Level as fast as possible? Make mesos as fast as possible? Or do you just want a feel good gold highlighted weapon? Each of these goals might procure a different answer.

    Personally, I love the warrior class. Excellent mobbing ability throughout their life time and they require the least amount of HP washing. My boyfriend is having a great time as a White Knight using 2-handed Blunt Weapons. The scrolls are incredibly cheap, so it allows him to make absurdly good weapons. The only downside is that it can be really difficult to find the scrolls/weapons as nobody has much interest in making or selling them.

    Hmmm...
    Cheapest to fund while dealing decent (not pathetic for a level) damage and bossing pretty early.
    I guess that answers that question? ^^;

    I was looking into a warrior of some sort.

    You want to boss and deal damage, so all mage classes are out.

    HP washing is a huge part of getting to bossing ability, so warriors look pretty nice. Their damage however is mediocre. What's also interesting is the potential changes we'll see when the server gets updated (notes here: http://www.royals.ms/?page=news&id=148), which buffs all of them slightly. Not enough to change where they rank on DPS output, though.

    That said, honestly, the bare minimum HP washing to do Horntail is really not very hard to achieve. And honestly, funding a Night Lord isn't even that bad. Even with minimal funding, their DPS is unmatched (when they have Sharp Eyes). Plus, Triple Throw is fairly inexpensive. However, if Pink Bean is ever released and you don't HP wash a lot to prepare for it, you'll end up needing to re-make.

    That's probably the biggest upfront consideration to make, honestly. If you just want to start right now and not need to HP wash, I'd recommend a Hero or Paladin. Your damage as a Hero will be decent, but far from the best. All the ranged classes beat Hero in DPS, but they're the strongest of the melee classes. Paladins on the other hand are pretty weak except when they have elemental advantage (which only really applies to Bigfooting and Krexing).

    You're a big help! Thank you!
    I guess I unconsciously chose good classes to play. Lol

    The funding for Night Lords just seemed terrible, even with minimal funding.
    But it's probably due to the fact that I never had more than 100m EVER in pre-BB MS. XD
