Hi, I just created an account yesterday and was able to play but now when I login today and get to character selection, I DC as soon as I submit my pic. This happens even if I create a new character. Someone mentioned to post here to check if I was banned for some reason. I am currently using a mac and using CrossOver to launch the client. Character names: blazeking831; blazeking321 Last thing I did: I believe I was afk after going to perion or maybe the land of wild boar mini map Why do you think you got banned?: no clue, I was just grinding Ban message when attempting to log in: no message, the client DCs as soon as I finish entering my pic and clicking enter
Hello, You accounts, IP and MAC aren't banned. Using the CrossOver to launch the client may be what is causing your issue.
Hi, thanks for checking that. Do you know of how to fix the issue? The client was working with CrossOver just the day prior and then it stopped working.
I have found something related to your situation in the Royals Discord. Seems this issue with CrossOver has happened to other players here. According to the message in Discord, you need to press "Enter" on your keyboard when signing in instead of hitting "Log In" with the mouse. This apparently greatly reduces the chance of it crashing. Try that and let us know if it helped.
This does seem to be related to CrossOver. I had tried to get MapleRoyals running on a Macbook a few months ago when my Windows computer died. It was just really difficult, and I encountered a lot of problems, including frequent DC's during the login process. I never did get it running super well. This is a common experience with Royals and apple computers, unfortunately. Are you on our discord? If not, I would recommend joining, and asking for advice in the technical help channel
Ah got it, thank you. I did join the discord and asked on the mac users channel and I was just told that some people got it working through just brute force. Perhaps it is what it is and I will have to find a windows computer to play royals
That is the solution I ultimately went with myself The trouble is that it is also very dependent on exactly which MacBook you have. Different MacBook hardware causes different problems with Royals, and there's just no good guides for every combination of things that can go wrong. Anyway, closing your appeal as you're not banned. If you want further help on the forum, make a technical help thread.
