Ok, so I almost finished with getting my INT gear for my future char I'm going to main when registration is up, and obviously wash it. Got a total of 120 int in gear (After I scroll myself a 22 int robe which will be easy af for me). Gonna have a really good gear even as early as level 8-15 and at lvl 50 gonna have my whole gear ready. So my INT from equips only without AP added base int is going to be 120 from level 50 and up. Maybe even 130+ if I decide to scroll my Zhelm with INT and get lucky. Aside from that, I have approx. 5-7b in funding. Maybe even more. I don't know yet since my mules are full and there are no stores available to clear some of my junk. But I think it's enough to make myself a nice char, and I'm going to get even more while I lvl up my new character along with gachapon and scrolling so make it 10b. Maybe even more if i get lucky later on. So here are some options I thought about, I might be wrong so feel free to correct me: Spoiler: My class options - TL ; DR version, click to read the full one I've wanted to make a Drk at first without investing much into int gear and invest most my money into attack gear instead because even 50- int gear would be enough to hit 30k (with hb of course), but my scrolling addiction got the best of me and I've ended up with better equips I thought I would have so I think its a waste to main one now (no offence to the class of course, one of my favorites actually). Sky skis are expensive af, the dmg is meh and the mobility is bad so I don't think I'm going to make one this time. Hero seems nice, the dps is good but the 120 dex for ST is a pain in the ass to get. Besides, the mobility and most of the skills suck. I have a haste mule though but still...It doesn't seems fun to me for some reason. My own opinion, nothing more. NL. OP af, awesome damage, great mobility, great skills and more. I even have some nicely scrolled skanda/maple claw I've made out of boredom to use so I can pump points into INT without losing much dmg. I would even say it's my favorite class out of those I've played BUT. The way you wash NL seems more complicated than the rest of classes and easy to screw up+a little bit uncomfortable for me...So that's a pretty much a deal breaker. The main problem here is every time I lvl up I have to use AP resets which can hit my resources pretty hard, or just annoy the crap out of me. The dps also not that great without SE, but that's not an issue because I can always get myself a mule later. Speaking of which... Marksman. Here is a "hipster" choice of mine, I like the skills and how they look, unique and cool class IMO, SE...And no, I don't want a BM. MM lives matter. They got some nice buffs in the new source too! But the dps is still meh and I can always get myself a SE mule in the future so I don't think I will ever main one. But I'm surely going to play one for fun/SE. Mobility is still crap compared to NL/Sair and they are the hardest to wash so I doubt it's going to be my choice for now. Corsair. Here is my favorite option out of these all. People have told me 250 total int is enough to wash it decently (that means I should add 130-120 int along with my gear which is not that bad to play with, especially on the lower levels). I don't have a bishop/mage to leech him though so it can be a pain in the ass till the 4th job. But I can always buy/scroll a good att gear/weapon and make it less annoying. Skills are awesome, mobility is only second to NL, best DPS if solo, battleship is one of the best skills IMO, don't have to wash with fresh ap every time I lvl up like with NL so I have more time to save mesos/nx for my ap resets and take the whole deal more "easy", don't have to wash it to more than like 8k/9k to stay competitive thanks to battleship...I've quit GMS before pirates were introduced so I never got to play one so something new is always good..Besides I heard they are a kind of challenge, and I like challenges. And of course.... Bish!! Since I don't have one. Just slave my life away, make tons of money, 1hit skeles, make even more money and then make a 30k HP NL later and be godly af. But damn, I'm too lazy for all this. LAZY AF TL ; DR: So the my favorite options are NL and corsair, but feel free to tell me your opinion on this situation. So what do you think I should go for and why? Thanks
The problem is the method you need to wash NL with which is different from the other classes. Washing by using fresh AP every time and being forced to use resets from lvl 1 each time I lvl up is annoying af. Or maybe I didn't understand the whole process correctly. The rest are just more simple, I just lvl up with my gear (and base int) on, stockpile MP and mass wash when I feel like it usually at 135-155. Never washed so like I've said, most likely I got this whole thing wrong. Gonna open a bish along the way though. They are useful.
I don't have a NL, but from what I read, it seems pretty straightforward. Although NL has a different washing procedure than other classes, requiring the use of fresh ap, if you plan to get 30k hp, you'd need to mp wash as well. Every class who attempts to mp wash will require to use fresh ap anyways, so it won't make a difference. Unlike what you claimed, you won't need to wash until level 70. Source: mp wash procedure (Christopher Chance's post); normal hp wash. If you choose Corsair, you won't have to wash a lot. Again, I do not have a Corsair, so from what I heard, you only need 7k hp. Any more hp and this would ruin your endgame (due to battleship).
I don't have the funds right now to hit 30k (or anything that needs mp washing if I'm looking at Sila NL guide) anyway so it doesn't matter. At best, I can hit like 10k-9.5k @ 155. And the NL guide says I must use fresh ap, no matter if I'm washing to 5.6k hp or 30k hp. What does "fresh ap" even mean? Doesn't it means I need to wash every single level, starting from level 1? If not, how should I get "fresh ap"? Just save those up? Because if I remember correctly, I've seen people who did that. But how much should I save, and how much should I spend out of the 5 I'm getting? I don't remember seeing people mention this at all. So I leveled up from lvl 1 to 2 and got 5 ap. What's next? Too many questions for a simple task. That's why I prefer corsair - I cannot mess him up because all I need to do is lvl up wearing my int gear, hoard mp and wash when I feel like it and then reset my base int back and get ready to kick some ass. I don't even have to wash massively in order to stay competitive. It's a huge advantage here. Unless someone can explain me once and for all how you pull off this whole thing withNL.
According to this guide, a "fresh ap" is "a point added from a level up, not a point reset from another stat using an AP reset". In other words, the 5 ap you gain from level up are the "fresh ap". Any ap that has been assigned are used, and not 'fresh' anymore. When you use ap reset to take out that ap again, this ap isn't 'fresh'. Suppose you are not washing. The "fresh ap" is basically the ap added to your main stat/secondary stat. In the case of NL, that would be dex and luk. If you take out a point from luk, that ap is not fresh ap. The reason we differentiate this is because fresh ap and normal ap gives different values when washing. Certain classes value more from fresh ap, whilst others from normal ap. To answer your question on why we don't start washing from level 1 is because (a) we simply don't need to wash that many times. We have enough fresh ap to wash even if we start from lvl 70; (b) for some classes, you gain more hp per wash after 2nd/3rd job advancement. Since you have 120 int, you should at least have 7,600 hp by level 155, according to Sila NL guide. From levels 1-70, you add 21 dex (for job advancement) and dump all into luk. Add base int if you wish. Wear int gear as early as possible. Once you have accumulated the mp, at level 70, put 5 fresh ap into HP, ap reset 5x from mp and put into LUK. Repeat that at every level onwards until 155. You may also choose to save all the points and wash later, but that'd leave your ap unused (therefore lower damage). Note: Forgive me if I've made any mistakes in my post. I've only washed a buccaneer. Sorry if I've complicated things. I'm not good at explaining fyi, here is a good hp washing guide.
Id say check out corsairs! seems like you're pretty into it anyway considering you typed a lot for it lol. i made mine as the first character like 2 years ago and ive been taking it real slow grinding it out and im 146 now w pretty average stats with moderate washing (ty battleship) and i get by fine ++Since you got all that funding ready to pump into a character you'll have a much easier time dragging yourself across the first three jobs if youre not buying leech and in the end youll have yourself a nice solid ass corsair who can offer good damage in parties and solo bosses easily (esp bigfoot since they have a sweet spot for that furry dude ) good luck yooo!
