Hey all, Newbie here, never played pre-Big Bang MS before. I was wondering what kind of mid-game & end-game gear I should be aiming for (with their prices)? So far I think I need for mid game (Lv. 35 Cleric 4/4/183/4) - Zakum Helm : 65M - 60% Overall Int Scrolls : 17M or Bathrobes 1x/2x Int : Not sure on price - Purple Gaia Cape (Gachapon) - Snowshoes (w/ Jump or Speed) : Not sure on price - Maple Shield w/ Int + M. Att (FM) : Not sure on price - Maple Lama Staff or Other : : Not sure on price - Rings? - Forehead ? - Eye acc? End game I have no idea, so if you could help that would be awesome! I don't really want to be funded as it kind of takes the fun out of the game unless I'm really losing motivation. I will most likely be getting the mesos by selling NX or using Gachapon for scrolls since I'm basically naked (unless there's a better method for me to make money) If I'm missing anything, please let me know! Thank you! AJ P.S. Feel free to message me in-game, I'm friendly EDIT: Also, I'm currently level 35 and at Chronos but my damage is shocking. Should I go back to teddies until I can max heal?
Welcome to the server, AJ!!! Vote every day for your 8k NX and buy AP Resets from the cash shop and sell them to people who smega B>AP Resets, 9m each. You'll want to do this until you hit level 50. Once you hit level 50, you'll be able to gach! I explained where you should gach here: https://royals.ms/forum/threads/where-is-the-best-gachaphon.69465/#post-360921. As for training, I recommend trying Jr. Wraiths at this map: http://bbb.hidden-street.net/map/mini-map/kerning-city-subway-line-1-area-2. You'll be able to hit and kill Jr. Wraiths sooner than Chronos, and I think the exp per hour is better at Jr. Wraiths anyway. But play around and go from Jr. Wraiths, Chronos, Platoon Chronos, Master Chronos, and Wraiths until you end up being able to hit at GS2. Then you'll stay at GS2 until level 75 when you can join WS parties in exchange for HSing the attackers. Stay at WS until level 90 which is when you'll be HSing for AMs at ulu 2. Once you hit 105, you'll be HSing for AMs at petris and stay at petris until you hit 120 and get Genesis. Then you can get into the skele grind. XD For gear, look at the equipment section in this guide: https://royals.ms/forum/threads/the-best-fire-poison-guide-there-was-is-and-ever-will-be.27168/. Side note though, bishops can use the Elemental Wand 6 as well, not just the Elemental Wand 5. Elemental Wand 6s are usually cheaper, too. I'm not one to P/C things much, but if you use the search function while on the selling forum for terms like "20 int robe," you'll find threads where people sold those items. So P/Cing takes time and effort, but you'll get a good idea of what prices are. Some advice, though. I wouldn't buy a Zhelm if I were you. Once you become a bishop and have res (preferably max), you'll be able to join Zak runs and reloot Zhelms for free. When you run Zak, you get splits from Zhelm buyers and Gen 20 if it drops. So Zak is a great way to get early funding! You'll also want to complete Krex prequests and go on Krex runs. Krex runners sometimes smega for a bishop to serve as an HS mule. You don't get exp, but you are entitled to looting the ring that drops. There are three other rings in the game, but they're event only. One ring is for people who made a character in the first few days following the wipe a few years ago, another is for Valentine's Day, and the last is for Thanksgiving! I'll have to stalk friends of mine who played that long ago for the first ring's name, but the other two are the 2 Carat Lovebirds Wedding Ring (+3 all stats, +1 attack and magic, 4 TMA) and Pumpkin Pie Ring (+3 all stats, +1 attack and magic, 4 TMA). I'm pretty sure the oldtime player ring has the same stat distribution, but I'll ask to make sure. Returning to funding though, you'll want to sell low level bishop leech once you get Genesis. You'll be paid about 45m to 40m an hour, usually at GS2. You'll want to save up for Gen 20. Once you pass Gen 20, save up for MW 20. And once you pass MW 20, gear up to 1295 magic with MW 20. Only then would you want to buy Gen 30 for 1 hitting skeles. But when you can 2 hit skeles, you'll want to focus on selling 2 hit skele leech. It's still 45m to 40m an hour, but focus on leveling so you'll get to 1 hitting skeles. At 1 hit skeles, you'll be able to sell 1 hit skele leech for 65m to 60m an hour. This will probably be your endgame funding method. If you have SI, you can farm gobies (assuming you 1 hit the Bombing Fish Houses) for 80m per hour in NPCed equips alone, not counting the overall int 60% scrolls that sometimes drop and sell for 15m each. I say goby farming with SI is on average 100m per hour. You can also try farming for items like godly Red Cravens at ulu 2, but profitability is heavily dependent on RNG. There's also summon farming for Heartstoppers, Lucky Charms, and Soiled Rags, but you'll want to get max Summon Dragon for Lucky Charm farming, and max Bahamut for Heartstoppers and Soiled Rags. Stopper farming is fairly involved, having to teleport back to the middle of the map every minute or so, but it's 35m an hour. You shouldn't die at Heartstoppers if you have a pet with autopot. Lucky Charms has minimal involvement since you get knocked out of your position every 15 minutes or so, but it's 25m an hour. Every now and then, Headless Horseman will spawn and may kill you. Soiled Rags is a true afk and farm map with 25m an hour profit, but Elderwraiths hit you for a LOT of damage and it burns pots. Also, both Headless Horseman and Bigfoot will spawn on you eventually, and Bigfoot will kill you instantly until you get enough HP and MP to tank being run over. My last note is about HT. HTing as bishop requires experience. I wrote up everything I know in my thoughtdump here: https://royals.ms/forum/threads/ht-for-bishops.58735/. HT is what most people rely on for income, but it's always a back and forth between boom and bust. Sometimes you'll get hundreds of millions from a run in splits, and sometimes you get absolutely nothing. But it's fun, if nothing else. At least I think so. XD I hope this helped! Feel free to ask any questions and I'll do my best to answer them!
You are amazing, thank you so much! EDIT: My damage range at Jr. Wraith is between 15-160, still takes me a while to kill them. Is that normal?
Perfectly normal! If you kill Jr. Wraiths in about 5 hits or less and you don't really miss, I'd stay there. XD
Just wanted to add that lucky charms is much more mesos than that as you get a lot of npc mesos too. You should be getting 30-35m from npc alone + the lucky charm rate so I would put leps at around 40-50m per hour (Can't remember the lucky charm drop rate). This is not including the godly equips that you can get here as well. Overall, farming leps are the most profitable, but the most annoying due to high npc rate. Plus they sell slower than stoppers. Either way, you should be focusing on grinding if you are trying to make mesos ^^ OA int is more like 17-17.5m. 15m is way too low for those. Again, just focus on grinding your character up for now, selling leech once you hit 120 will be your most stable income as you will get npc + leech money which is around 60-100m (depending on location and 1/2 hit) Edit: Just wanted to add that people might buy priest Jr Wraith/Wraith leech if you have max HS for like 20-25m ~
@Shiyui Hello! Sorry to tag you this way and sort of ressing the thread, but I am following both your Bishop post here and your comprehensive Maple Royal first timer guide at the moment and just dinged lv54 as a Cleric. I just earned enough for one and have completed all Zakum prerequisite, but I am worried about a few things since its been a while and things may have changed. I've heard many people who do Zak usually have a Bishop mule ready too. 1. I would like to know if its still not recommended to buy a Zakum helmet? 2. Is it still reasonable to expect a spot for Bishop in Zakum runs, if so, at what gear and level? (as a newcomer with 0 networking with people) 3. If I am not recommended to buy a Zakum helmet, what should i spend on for short term power boost? (Long term wise, aiming with gear that also can help HP wash a proper main) Thank you!
1. I think it's a waste of money to spend 50m getting a potentially 13 int Zhelm when you can get one for free later on haha! 2. Yes!! Watch smegas. I assure you that people recruit Zak runs and look for bishops throughout the day. I see them all the time. Granted, maybe like one per hour who smegas, but they do recruit you! Preferably level 123 so you have noob level Genesis and Res. Gear doesn't matter at all. You won't attack. Just HS, dispel when Zak seals, Res if someone dies, that's all! 3. 15 int to 20 int Green Bandana!! Classic HP washing gear and it's pretty much an unscrolled Zhelm as far as int goes. 15 int Green Bandana is maybe 150m? Should be pretty cheap honestly. And you can resell it if you need cash! Once you spend 50m on a Zhelm, you lost that money. Can't get it back. And can't give it to your other characters to HP wash with. Get a Green Bandana, get to fourth job, then start looting Zhelms for free.
Thank you! I'll try your advice for now and see how it goes! One last curious question, what are the terms of Bishop looting helmets? Since I am essentially denying a 50mil-worth helmet customer from the runners?
If you have a VIP Zhelm buyer, you won't loot any Zhelms because the buyer buys the right to loot all the Zhelms that drop. If you have just regular Zhelm buyers and they don't purchase all the reloots available, the Zak run organizer will say which party member can reloot their own Zhelm free of charge. Some do it by highest to lowest level, some do it by picking themselves or their friends first, it really depends. You can always organize a Zak run yourself to control the terms for relooting Zhelms!
