Hi guys I just had a problem. I downloaded the client and put it in the folder. However, when I click on it, it does go in the game and show the circle of death with the black screen but it just exits out of the game as soon as the black screen shows. It does not show the nexon and wizet logos, since it just exits out. No error codes or anything are shown, so I really don't know what's wrong.
Could be your antivirus, might need to disable/uninstall. Could be you need to change your compatibility. Right click the client > properties > compatibility tab > Run in compatibility for > Windows 98/WIndows ME
I run on win 7... plus I set my antivirus so that it would exclude MR folder from being scanned.. tried both and it did not work. I am assuming I have to redownload the whole thing? Funny cuz the OBT one works just fine..
If you have windows defender on your pc, either win 7,8,9,10, make sure that you have put The Maple Royals FOLDER set as an exception. Same with any Firewall. Since doing this, I canbplay for at least 8 hours and only dc maybe once or twice, unless the server is botched. This is including setting compatability to either 98/me, vista (2nd pack), or win 7. Launching still has a few bogs if I don't have a netbrowser open.
I set the whole folder as an exception. The OBT one works just fine, idk why it wouldn't for the actual server. I am just gonna try to redownload the whole thing over. I got the client from the thread on "Looking for a client!" But I don't think there's anything wrong with it..
